His first year we went 9-7 with an old journey man QB.. so average I can’t even remember his name. Think we won something like 5-7 games straight to end the year and barely missed the playoffs.
Before the second year was the whole Drew Brees fiasco that all Dolphins fans have on their list as a “what if?” Fans wanted Brees, Saban wanted Brees, but the org decided his injury issues from the Chargers was too big of a risk so they signed Culpepper who played 4 games before being benched. Team struggled, but again had a winning streak to end the year, but it ended up being a losing season.
If the team signs Drew Brees, Saban maybe never went to Bama. He was majorly pissed about it when it went down. Saban ended up 15-17 overall but there was still slight optimism there. “Solid” I guess depends on whoever is saying its definition. I probably wouldn’t call him Solid, but who knows what that 3rd year would have held. There were flashes.
Now, all that said, **** Nick Saban.
