Man. I was born in ‘69. And I thought I was old lol.
Haw...you're still a young buck. If you think the 50's is old, boy do you have some real surprises coming your way. My pops was a coal miner and a tough cuss. He told me the 50's are nuthin'. The 60's give you a taste of what's coming. 70's and you're really starting to feel the years. As for the 80's...don't ask.

1863Nov 17-Dec 4th, Battle of Knoxville, Ten.

Confederate General James Longstreet places the city of Knoxville, Tennessee, under siege. After two weeks and one failed attack, he abandoned the siege and rejoined General Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia. The Knoxville campaign began in November when Longstreet took 17,000 troops from Chattanooga and moved to secure eastern Tennessee for the Confederates. Longstreet’s corps was normally part of Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia, but after the Battle of Gettysburg in July, Longstreet took two of his divisions to shore up the Confederate effort in the West. He and his troops participated in the victory at Chickamauga in September and the siege of Chattanooga in October and November. Longstreet quarreled with Braxton Bragg, the Confederate commander in the West, and he was given independent command of the Department of East Tennessee. Longstreet took his 17,000 troops and moved toward Knoxville. Facing him was General Ambrose Burnside and 5,000 Yankees. Burnside fought a delaying action at Campbell Station on November 16 before retreating into the Knoxville defenses. The next day, Longstreet pulled into position around the north side of the city, but he could not cut off supplies to the Union troops. Longstreet waited for reinforcements to arrive, which they did on November 28. He attacked, but was repulsed with heavy loses. Longstreet continued the siege in order to draw troops away from Chattanooga. The ruse worked, and 25,000 Union troops were dispatched from Chattanooga to chase Longstreet’s force away. Ultimately, Longstreet retreated back to Virginia. His Knoxville campaign was disappointing for the Confederates, who had hoped to secure eastern Tennessee. Longstreet rejoined Lee in the spring after his disappointing turn as head of an independent command.

This is the guy that's about to drop 69 on us.

He looks like a villain from one of those crappy teen girl vampire shows.

He looks like malnourished veal sausage... But with gay hair.

He looks like IT without clown makeup.

He looks like a dong with teeth.

I’ll bet you a Benjamin he doesn’t drop 69 on us

It would be pretty hard to lose a lot with the talent I think Deion could bring in there but that's my 2 cents. Not sure what really good coach they could even hire not named Urban meyer.
It would be pretty hard to pull in much more than Jimbo was and he lost a lot.

There’s plenty of good coaches. Most just need a place that can pull that kind of talent.
Main thing is fit.

I wish Kiffin would end up at A&M, having to stand next to the yell leaders and do all their other nonsense

Kiffin would honestly love A&M. Endless pool of NIL money. He passive aggressively complains about legalized cheating but he’s sending a message to the Ole Miss boosters. He can half ass recruit and A&M can “buy” whoever he wants. Besides Texas, there’s not a richer school with deeper pockets in the conference.

We really need to show up this weekend and fight like hell for 4 quarters, keeping it close/respectable ... There are going to be an insane number of recruits here that we desperately need, and while most, if not all, don't expect us to pull the upset, we need to at least show them we are rising and improving and won't roll over...

The stadium and game experience needs to be rocking... We 'ish the bed again two weeks in a row and we will not be in a good place, not only with recruits but speculation will continue to grow as to what the heck this coaching staff is doing...or NOT doing.

South Florida vs UTSA at 9:00 pm.
Colorado vs Washington State at 10:30 tonight...

For football lovers....
I have to tell you a quick story. I have always liked Washington State. Here is why. I went to the game against them in 1980. I had to look up the score because I didn't remember it. What I do remember is that their cheerleaders were waiting around outside a gate to get in way before the game. I had to get there early because I sold hot dogs. Any, to make a short story long, those ladies had the shortest skirts I have ever seen. I was 15 at the time. I don't remember the score, but I do remember those ladies. Vividly. Let's go, Cougars!!
