This is such a stupid statement. My lord. Our current “leaders” have done an exceptional job with righting the ship and turning the University of Tennessee into one of the healthiest and best athletic departments in the country. Been a LONG time since we have had as competent leadership as we do with Boyd, Plowman, and White.

And we have fans on here calling them whores because Alabama made another playoff. Sheesh. Ridiculous.

Ok, I will say this again so maybe you can read and comprehend. The convo was nfl vs college. The Mets have nothing to do with this.

My personal opinion, I thought Washington played a damn good game. I didn't see the Michigan game to have an opinion. FSU played sloppy but won with defense while a third string QB filled in for a QB that will be back by the time the next game is played. So was Georgia and Bama better than FSU yesterday? Yes. Will they be better by the time the playoffs start? No idea. Was FSU better than Bama the weekend of the Iron Bowl? Yes. It can easily change week to week.

Does the whole season matter or not? FSU is an undefeated P5 champion. Bama is a one loss P5 champion. Bama also lost to the one loss Big 12 champion who is also in the playoffs. It's not a bias against Bama that makes me think FSU should be in over Bama. It's the record. Both FSU and Bama had strong performances and weak performances this year, but only one escaped undefeated, and it wasn't Bama. Simple logic tells me 13-0 is a better record than 12-1.

You realize you basically rephrased the core of my post, right? The rest of your post gets in trouble by conflating best vs deserve and season vs championship weekend arguments.

What are you supposed to look like? You're allowed to win with defense. They won every game. Thats what football is supposed to be about. Finding ways to win. Its not an eye test. Our eyes lie to us. Scoreboard rules all. Florida State is a prestigious program. They got treated like Liberty.

There’s SIXTY-EIGHT teams in the tournament in College Basketball, and the difference between a 1 or 2-seed is negligible. And the games are settled on the court, and each contender has a fair chance. What a horrible comparison. Wow.

I don't know if it actually would change anything, but I would love to see how the season plays out if Keyton catches that first long bomb from Milton in the UVA game. Does it improve the confidence between Joe and the receivers? Do they connect on near misses instead of throwing late or dropping passes? You can't prove or disprove what didn't happen but it would be interesting to see how the season turned out in that simulation.
