Yep. But that's not what we do here. We keep them around to start one last season of eligibility so we can go 8-4.

It is past time to change our thinking and methods.

We need to do the same thing with every position on the roster. That's what the elite do.

The players have all changed their mindsets. They are pros now whether we fans like it or not.

It does matter. The CFP Committee's mandate is to place the 4 best teams in the CFP.

Do I think FSU got screwed by the process? Yes, but they aren't one of the 4 best teams right now.

Speaking just for myself, but I don’t ever want to be grabbed in my port hole.

Regarding the portal, if it were me, I’d always trust my evaluations but I’d be more interested in lower ranked kids out of high school who overachieved at their G5 or smaller P5 than I would a former blue chip who didn’t make an impact at whatever school they went to.

ie. Jared Verse, Dalton Knecht, Fentrell Cypress, McCallen Castles, etc

Yeah give me a Jared Verse over a JT Daniels any day. Recruiting rankings mean squat once you’ve got college film.

Tbf, you also get guys like Bru McCoy and Joe Burrow on the other side of that coin. Sometimes the talent really is there you just have to unlock it.

With the departures and frankly, lack of talent at several positions, if we're going after guys who can't beat out what's in front of them on this roster, I question our staff and their ability to evaluate talent.

We’re going to find out. This season didn’t go nearly like they wanted so I’m hoping they turn that into recruiting.

I'd say its probably 50/50 but I get the point. Just thinking about ones we've seen recently:

Idk where on3 comes up with these stupid valuations but they should eliminate that feature. There is zero chance thats accurate.

He'd do great at a lower level P5 or G5 team. Impressed that he stuck around in Knoxville and got his degree. Should be a good sign going forward that the young talent is taking these starting jobs.
