Yep, can't stand Finebaum! It kills me how when he comes to a Tenn game he gets the royal treatment. He doesn’t give to 2 sh*ts about Tenn, wish we would purge him from all things Tenn!

Can't believe how upset I am over this CFP selection. Think I need to take a break.

Thought Matt Luke was done with football and wanted that elusive “time with his family”? Something went down at UGA with him. Never missed a beat recruiting big uglies after Pittman…so it wasn’t performance.

He was back hanging around the OM program this past season. They showed him during the egg bowl.

He made his name covering Alabama... Nicky's right hand man, when it comes to boosting Alabama....

People say he is a SEC man, only if you're Alabama...

Not possible..... I read in a recruiting thread that Pittman was the best recruiting OL coach in the history of recruiting OL coaches. No way someone could possibly match that at of all places....Georgia

Stacy Searels came back a second time and there’s the 5 stars! Get an OL coach who can do the job and the PROGRAM draws the big uglies. They’re like herds. They graze where the grass is greener.

Probably would cause some blowback, and I doubt they would ever do it...but, if Banks and Martinez are gone, I'd go after Durkin for my DC, and Mel Tucker for my DB coach. If nothing else, I'd, at least, talk to them.

For conversational purposes, what do you like about Durkin? A&M defense was loaded with talent and while they did allow about 50 less ypg, they gave up 21.3 ppg. Vols were 22.0 ppg.

I think too much is made out of that one assistant who is going to really turn the program around. Seen that movie too many times and not sure how often it’s actually worked out — Shoop was gonna fix our defense, Chaney was gonna fix our offense, Petrino would get TAMU’s offense humming, etc.

Problem is not all schedules are remotely close to created equal in CFB. If you wanted something objective and take out humans, like FPI and SP+ metrics that take records but with opponent adjusted point system, well, then you just essentially went back to BCS. That’s all that ever was.

First off, while I don't dismiss it, I don't put nowhere near as much stock in PPG as some of you do. Yes, it's a stat that should be considered, absolutely; but, it's also a stat that doesn't always tell the entire story. Example: last year, UGA gave up 14 PPG, Bama 18 PPG. Did it feel like, to you, UGA's D was only 4 pts better than Bama's? Not even in the same ballpark, imo.

Durkin has been pretty successful everywhere he's been, as DC; and, is highly thought of by the likes of Meyer, Harbaugh, and Muschamp...while Muschamp isn't much of a HC, the dude does know defense. Durkin is also legit on the recruiting trail.

What about you? If Banks takes the MTSU job, who'd be your first phone call?
