I love the hypocrisy of our fan base! If Tennessee was a one loss conference champion being compared to an undefeated Florida State we’d be saying the same things Bama fans are saying

The SEC champion (despite the Bama hate on this board) is a better team than FSU.

And your statement looks asinine. The reason our fanbase is pizzed about this, remember last year when gumps were rated #5 over our #6 right before the bowl selections regardless of h2h? (I had to self delete my further of what I thought of , SEC, SEC, SEC). This has nothing to do with the hatred I have for the gumps and all to do with the screw job that the selection did today. We somewhat know how FSU and their fanbase feels. So if you want to fly flag of ‘our conference is better than yours’ so be, but expect blow back, if by just me.

Playing with Harris and Acuna provides protection. Doesn’t have to be great (tho that would be), just hold serve and this gives Vaughn Grissom time to learn the position and eventually compete.

Because they change the criteria on a whim and leave out an undefeated, conference champion from a storied program going against past precedents. If they can do it to FSU they can do it to us.

Now imagine a 12 team playoff. The darlings will always get finagled into the “byes”. Those will be the premium slots with all the backroom deals to be sure certain brands remain protected. It’s all going to be a farce.

Just can’t get past the label of 13-0 conference champ. We’ve seen literally every year, a conference champ getting drubbed by a good SEC team. And no that’s not conference bias, I hate our colleagues; it’s just true. Now I don’t know that Alabama is better than a Jordan Travis-led FSU team. Him breaking his leg hurt their chance in a VERY SUBJECTIVE PROCESS OF CHOOSING playoff contenders.

Past years should have zero effect on this year. SEC had a less than stellar record against other power 5 teams this year

Not would have been a contender. He was a shoe throw away from the playoffs.
