Got it. Behr for 'cheaper stains.' We chose Cappucino because of the darker, more earthy tones. I would stray as far away from Olympia anything.

If you arent budget minded Sherwin Williama is the way to go. There is a difference, it is noticeable.

Definitely recommend the extra time to add a detergent or soap to pressure washer. then wash the entire thing again. For rotted wood, where board doesnt need replacing. Plastic wood, sand, smoothe.

I filled in all the bad areas also.

This time, in lieu of a sprayer. I bought painters poles, and pads for decking, at Home Depot. Lowes sucks. This was equal in time, but allowed an even layer over the areas stained. Also, was much easier on the back. Reduced time having to do multiple coats.

Not immediately but probably over time I will watch less and less. Just like boxing, NBA and MMA.

I think all sports have moved into this "influenced entertainment"

If you are successful enough to sell ads, you'll have someone that has nothing to do with the purity of the product telling you how to conduct business to produce more revenue for people that just know money.

He replied to someone calling them a moron bc they had a different view point than him. You can’t have a good faith discussion with someone unable to participate in a discussion without getting emotional.

At that point it’s more of a concern for the poster’s mental health that something like this would bother them so much that they lash out at others….others who had nothing to do with the decision that upsets them.

They're just making up stuff as they go and occasionally someone sticks their foot in their mouth.

If the real person making the decisions had to speak, it would just be an Excel spreadsheet and some Power BI reports, and the talking heads on ESPN would be scrolling through and clicking on tabs asking "what the hell is all this"

LOL it's not bias, it's conjecture.

They really believe they are the arbitters of potential, they only need on field performance to inform their loftier goal of deciding who the best 4 teams are.

They've said from the beginning they view their job as deciding who the best 4 teams are, not which 4 teams have the best resume. People projected their own goals in to the committee and act outraged when the committee says things that align with their stated goals but contradict the goals people projected on to them.

TWP is good, but it's expensive.

Good info!! I actually found a color that would match but it was Olympia..Hopefully Behr has that same color.

Go back and look, I argued for Bama to get in. It made sense to me, but this is just something you don't admit, as a leader or someone in a chair of high importance, make a decision, make a statement and move forward, they more you try to defend it the worse it looks.

I hope the guy coming in next year is better.

No matter what they did somebody was going to be mad, do what you think you need to, tell it how it is and move on. The more you try to defend it the worse it looks.

As someone who has stained a deck that we built a roof on, floating deck, stairwell, and a yellow pine- dogear fence, front and back, by hand. I would unequivocally advocate for Behr.

Yes they should be able to match it, the Behr was a bit darker. Close enough no one has ever said a word.

But, since the Olympia was peeling up everywhere, and my 4 year old deck's wood was rotting, I feel good about it.

My stairwell will have to have boards replaced. Its about 6-7 years old.

Basically, what folks say about stain quality is accurate.
