Tell the undefeated Auburn team that had to watch “the two best teams” play for the championship.
Yep. If I recall, the AP and Coaches polls were part of the BCS formula. USC and OU were #1 and #2 starting in the preseason in both polls. Auburn moved up but never had a chance to supplant either of the top 2 teams because they started further back.

If you go back and look at their schedules, USC beat 3 final ranked teams, OU beat 2 ranked teams (top 5 Texas), and Auburn beat 4 ranked teams (top 7 UGA and UT twice).

You are. We had both on SOS.
I know we had the SOS; but, I remember being worried going into that last weekend. Maybe because I thought we'd get screwed somehow.

Maybe...even though we had SOS favor, we played the weaker of the 3 opponents that last weekend. Texas A&M was like 10-1, 9-2, I think, ranked in top 10...Miami was what, 8-2, 7-3? (UCLA was also riding like a 20, 21 game winning streak going into that game) ...Mississippi St was 8-3, I believe. As I said, I guess I was worried they'd both jump over us with wins that last weekend. Manning screw job was still fresh.

Had to inform my students today that rather than assessing them on their performance throughout the semester, I will be convening a committee of individuals who have never taught a college course nor even actually taken one to assign their grades. Kirk Herbstreit told me it was a good idea.
Remember, since you won’t actually be graded on what you did or didn’t learn, the most important thing is to look like the kind of person who would get good grades.

For the love of all that is Holy, when you are talking about the WR group it is CORPS. C O R P S. Not core, corr, korr, kore, or cor. Even freaking marines like @BaldBiker know how to spell corps. TIA.
You like Holy Warlick? I think she was horrible, but not sure what her corp problem was, but doesnt effect me.
