Recruiting Football Talk VII

It does matter. The CFP Committee's mandate is to place the 4 best teams in the CFP.

Do I think FSU got screwed by the process? Yes, but they aren't one of the 4 best teams right now.
Then that's a stupid mandate and Cinci and tcu and mich st never would have gotten in if true.

Very convenient.

From Cover 3:

Chip: Is Texas A&M defensive lineman Walter Nolan, former 5-star product, someone who really came on as a dominant player this year, would you say that's the top defensive option in the portal right now?

Bud: Yes, as of this moment. He is ready-made, impact defensive lineman. There's not a lot of guess work there. The guy is a stud. He'll get a huge bag wherever he goes.

Chip: It will be like when he was a recruit and all the big boys were there ready to pull it together for him. Cash in twice, good for you.

Tom: So which SEC team is he gonna end up at? Georgia? Alabama? Texas? [laughs]

Bud: I think maybe another orange team.

Tom: ...Clemson?

Chip: Syracuse!

Bud: Tennessee. He's from there, they recruited him hard the first time. I don't have a crystal ball pick in for it, but yeah.

Tom: Tennessee from Texas A&M? Is that an upgrade?

Chip: Texas A&M is losing a lot.

Tom: If I'm him, and I can go anywhere that I please... maybe it's just a thing where he wants to be closer to home, but if I can get a bag and play for a title contender it would be weird for me to go to Tennessee. But whatever.

Bud: When we did the show this past summer talking to different collective groups, I tried to pick ones that have good reputations, and Tennessee's has a really good reputation. The opportunities at Tennessee, especially if you're from there, could be pretty significant. But schools like Oklahoma and Texas, that's a big position of need for them. Miami is another one. He is going to be a coveted target for everyone.
"Tom" can **** all

Did he even see last season?!

If it were really the four "best" teams, Georgia would be in anyway, and they sure as heck wouldn't be below Florida State. Committee is FOS.

I’m the only one, but I wish he would move to TE. Use him like Fant.

Never been a fan of him at WR
that's because he's not flashy. he's a Hines Ward type. and that's not a bad thing, you're just not gonna see him runnning around flying by people in the wide open. but it's 3rd and 7 and you need a guy to go get the ball, or to stick a block, that's the guy you want. he's not big enough to put on the end of OL and put his hand in the dirt. but, effectively in the pass game and run game, he could "act" like a TE so i get the notion.

So what? Oregon and UGA were both favored yesterday too. Games are played for a reason.
Exactly. The timing is arbitrary. They could have decided the playoffs 1 week earlier and been all sorts of wrong.

Taking the opinions of a bunch of professors and ADs over...oh I don't know...the results on the field?!? Yeah, real genius. Fire all those jokes.

I do not get that way of thinking...I would want to smash UGA into oblivion.
Then you've never been completely disenfranchised out of the one thing you poured your heart and soul into, only to be told you were tricked and were never playing a fair game all along.

That's when you rage Schiano style 😅🤣

They added window tint violations and improper registration display... Good Lord whoever stopped him was a complete d!ck.
Sounds like Pearce was being the dick. Going twice the speed limit, expired tags, suspended license, refused to provide insurance or ID, and then attempted get back in the vehicle when told it would be towed.
