Darnell WrightI'm super worried about our OL recruiting and development at this point.
if you find an answer let me knowDarnell Wright
Cooper Mays
Gerald Mincey
Spraggins
Carvin
Hell, Lane and Davis
All developed well under Elarbee
Mincey
Crawford
Campbell
4* Sham
4* Lang
a top juco Larry Johnson
4* Bennett Warren
4* Max Anderson
4* William Satterwhite
All recruited by this staff. Can you give me a reason you think they don’t develop or recruit well?
Very respectfully, F that middle ground. They've shown they'll pick and choose based on the brand names and preconceived notions from year to year. Even a 2 loss team can be expected to be better than an undefeated, full of close-wins, conference champ. But that team 100% deserve a chance to be proven wrong.Next year, I want better defined criteria with a clear hierarchy of factors, I want them consistently applied week-to-week, season-to-season, and I want public defenses of their decisions to be specifically connected to those criteria.
Elerbe leaves a lot to be desired in that department. I’ve been saying it for a while.
It’s year three and we were still rolling with Ollie lanes and Dayne Davis types for depth, and are hoping beyond hope that covid guys etc stay for a 5th or 6th year because none of the young guys we’ve brought in are close to being ready.
Yet when you express concern when we take another low ranked kid with a mediocre offer list as a commitment, the cheerleaders on this site jump on you like Elerbe is some great coach.

Also...Rodney sure as hell can't talk about paying. He isn't stupid. "Here's the number to a friend...call him for marketing opportunities"TB says about a year ago Walter Nolen reached out to Tennessee asking if he could come here. We said “Sure” and he said “How much will I get?” And Rodney Garner essentially said “You’ll get developed”. Apparently Garner was never super high on Nolan in the first place so we saw no need to make a big $$ offer.
Nope. They literally developed two guys that were walk ons to guys that were impactful. But go ahead and pick on the two names you know are a “reach”. WeakThe fact that you had to reach for guys like Lane, Davis and Mincey just to have names to include.
Youre literally just naming names of guys who played regardless of if they played well.
But go off.
I mean, yeah…but they’re not even gonna accept my meager suggestion, much less reorganize the whole sport in a way that makes sense.Very respectfully, F that middle ground. Fire them all and set up a system like pro leagues. Make it in or not based on hard parameters, not this thing where a bunch of professors and trampoline park owners get to use their (completely full of years of media biased-induced) opinions of who is best...which they determined 11 months ago and needed an excessive amount of proof to move those teams off their chosen high-seats. On the other side, the perceived lesser teams had to have twice the accomplishments.
"Best 4 teams" OPINIONS are stupid as the sole factor. Vandy could go beat Bama by 1 point...back to back...and Bama would still be 2+ TD favorites. Who cares?!? You play the games for a reason.
Imagine if the NFL did this shiz and just put in 6-10 patriots in every year...because they must be good!
