I just looked this up. She mentioned it in her book. I was unaware of her of that part of her story.

I take Wes’ comment as a compliment of her strength. My wife battled infertility for 10+ years and I don’t find it offensive to Pat.

It’s not offensive to discuss the subject. It’s the way he brought it up. As other posters have said, there is a tactful way to raise awareness. What he did is not that way. He’s just a weird dude.

I agree on him weird. He could have added context or used a different.

Pretty stupid to use the word “amazing” and “six miscarriages” in the same tweet. Also, just something that had no business even being discussed by a sports journalist.
Right. Pat was an amazing person in so many ways. Highlighting her miscarriages like they were something Pat set out to accomplish in life is stupid. Maybe highlighting the emotional toll that took on her and she still pushed forward in life to accomplish all that she did would be a better way to look at it.

From the Sports Business Journal

Former MLBer Dave Stewart has "played a leading role," and the Music City Baseball BOD has added Former NFLer and Tennessee State football coach Eddie George and Negro Leagues Baseball Museum President Bob Kendrick. The group’s public relations efforts have been “remarkably effective,” and by now, Nashville’s selection as the first of two MLB expansion candidates is “widely assumed as a foregone conclusion.”
Wasn’t that long ago that MLB wanted to dissolve a couple of teams…now they’re expanding.

Players are asking crazy money. Few are worth what they think they are. Programs are having to throw money at portalers while recruiting their own best players to stay. It's not sustainable but it's full tilt right now.
Market always bears out. Takes insanity growing pains first.

Down the road.....players are going to start going after TV money............
