Not advocating a coaching change but if that time ever came would Kara Lawson be considered?

I pay about 0 attention to LV Basketball but hiring Lawson would be stupid. I don’t understand the desire to continue trying to hire only former Lady Vols part of the Pat tree. It’s dragging this program down. How many programs out there handicap themselves by saying “Let’s make sure we only hire an alum.”

If Tennessee is serious about restoring the program, they’ll fire Pretty Holly and go drop a bag for a proven head coach with Final Four appearances and distance themselves from the Pat tree. Stop trying to be Pat. There will never be another Pat. JMO.

NIL has turned college football into professional soccer. The big clubs stay big. The middle clubs have to over pay to join the bigs. The small clubs get smashed. The smallest clubs get relegated to lower leagues. Tampering constantly with players on other teams through agents. Transfer fees. Elevated player salaries. In soccer they introduced financial fair play. All this did was protect the larger clubs and make it harder for medium and small clubs to climb the ranks. Not sure what cfb will do. My biggest concern is with the collectives themselves. Are they regulated? How are donors certain their money gets to the players? Maybe someone can explain that to me.

I took a bat to the ribs as a little league coach as a 9 year old picked up a bat and took a swing at air without looking around. I would hate to be hit by an adult.

Unless things have changed within the program, they won't hire outside Pats/UT players, and they most certainly will not hire a man.

It’s absolutely wild that they are still against hiring a man. I realize the demographic of that fanbase, but still, get over yourselves. Hire the best available regardless of gender.

On the other hand, her coaching resume is pretty impressive. More impressive than Kellie or Holly

I’d still take our schedule over theirs or Kentucky. I’d rather earn it than take on a soft opponent like they’ve done, it’s not legitimate. Hell, I can fashion out a beauty queen tiara and go against the local girls and win it, but I would want to it against the best competition. Win or lose.

Or, you play the uga weak schedule and have fewer injuries. You get to play in the SECCG and get a rematch with bama. When you win the rematch, then you get to go to the playoffs. Just wishful thinking.

He is great, him and Kyrie actually blend well on court....

Kyrie rather be Robin than Batman....gives him more time to burn his Sage before the games...

Dan White throughout his resume at several stops, has never appeared to be satisfied with even mediocre results out of any sport under his watch…women or men. He’s never been at this level of program with its histories and legacies, so he gave Kelly full license to sink or swim…that was some sinking yesterday along with the blown leads in other duds. I have no doubt he’ll go full Kim Mulkey type in the replacement search and bring his checkbook. Once again, Jeff Walz on top of my personal preference. Another poster placed understandable concern on his trek since his last Final Four appearance. My opinion is that is proof that Louisville doesn’t have the same commitment to the women’s program and he’s gettable.

Only reply I know is ...women's basketball kept Tennessee in National spotlight for many years...when mens basketball wasn't accomplishing ****....

I’m not panicking either, but I think he would have thrived here.

Those kind of fans are the ones who will ensure that the women’s basketball program is never elite again. To them, it’s all about having a former player as head coach. Pretty bizarre honestly.
