Its just a matter time until the portal is the primary source for adding new players. I won't be shocked if recruiting classes shrink down to about 10-12 high school recruits a year.

They have Dart, Judkins, and Harris who was a 900 yard receiver. Everyone else is leaving I think on the whole offense.

Oregon got Dillon Gabriel, and On3 thinks they lead for Nolen. Now that would be some portal work.

Its just a matter time until the portal is the primary source for adding new players. I won't be shocked if recruiting classes shrink down to about 10-12 high school recruits a year.

It’ll be the top 250-300 kids get recruited by the main schools. You’ll have the occasional player ranked 300+ get an offer, who the coaches will think is ranked higher than they are.

The other vast majority of players will have the G5 schools to pick from or lower and go there first.

Portal opens up the possibility for the kids that had to go to “lesser” schools to earn an opportunity later to play major D1 if they succeed.

It’s essentially going to become a system where the major D1 schools are the MLB teams, G5 are the triple a’s, so on and so fourth.

We could totally change the look of this defense, which is badly needed, if we would only aggressively hit the portal. We could upgrade losing Baron to the portal. There are better DEs out there.
