I'm just going with what I wanted to see when Heupel was first hired and adjusting slightly because of the schedule changes. Hopefully he can at least hit expectations. I think it's more likely we exceed them, given the (probable) QB upgrade and Heupel's history of overachieving.

This year Milton wasn’t great but we didn’t help him at all catching the ball. We dropped so many damn passes it wasn’t even believable. 2 hit guys in the hands in the end zone vs Georgia. That 14 points were huge

Yeah, plus our offense seemed way dialed back all year. I kept waiting for the game where we opened it up, but it never happened. We seemed. . . "clunky" on offense compared to when hooker was the QB. Hopefully it opens up when Nico takes over.

It's not who we've gotten. It's who we've not gotten. Offensively, other than TE, we've recruited great. We've struck out on interior DL. And I have concerns about LB and DBs where we need more depth. Which is why I would like to see us attack the portal for defense. But, so far, we're not. Ole Miss snagged the best LB that was currently in the portal today. Other SEC teams are big game hunting the portal, but we're not. And that concerns me. Other people, not so much. I get it. Like I've said before, I just want to see us actually competing for championships. I think Heupel can do that, but I also think he needs to adjust his defensive philosophy to work in the SEC.

Yeah, probably. That's why I wished nico got a lot more play this year. It's gonna take 3-4 games for him to get settled in, maybe more. A lot of PT in the bowl game against a defense like Iowa's would go a long way for Nico's development.

maybe not…. Shular threw all of 5-6 passes and one game against a no-name team before going on the road to beat top ten georgia.
