griffey was all hips. gwynn was calculated.Tony Gwynn wasn't to shabby on swing, I agree about Griffey...
Without injuries, Barry Bonds as HR king wouldn't be discussed....he would have smoked Bonds record....
henry aaron also was nice.
for my money, id take mickey mantle all day long, and then some. to be able to be that violent from both sides. not sure how his SO compare to others, or hits. Dont care. im talking about his swing. Where the bat met the ball, mechanics, ease of swing.
another one was chipper. the power he generated with his swing will never be appreciated. again another upper cut guy, used a lot of hips. chipper was big enough to handle rigors of the 162 game schedule though. i will add he also could shorten up and hit up the middle. takes a lot of hand eye to be able to do that. really a generational talent.
