Legitimately excited for new blood in the secondary.

I just long for the time when Tennessee's secondary was full of great athletes. Maybe Gibson can be the start. Lets see if the others can play.

I'm not familiar with this perspective. Grizzilies usually only kill humans in aggressive, territorial outbursts. They're not known for intentially torturing prey or playing with them. Cats do this. Otters arguably. But this is not something bears are known for. Bears are also primarily scavengers and foragers. Polar bears are the only bears that are true carnivores.

There are several incidents you can read about that have happened across the country. A while ago I read about bear kills. The park reports/autopsy reports tell you how they kill. It's not common but it happens and when it does the kills are gruesome. I'd give you a link but it's been a while since I did a deep dive on this.

Dang, Texas (2) women's volleyball beat host Stanford (1) by a score of 3-1 to go to the Final Four. I definitely think the Lady Vols could have beat Stanford if they'd taken that Match Point.

It's nice to be good at everything again.

And losing our libero was a big hurt.

I am going to reserve the we can't compete talk until I see how we fare under Nico, without divisions, and with the expanded playoff.

My fear is secondary and WR/TE next year because unseasoned Nico needs weapons and the defense needs more than a pass rush. My other fear is 2025 if we don't start rotating playing more guys in 2024.

If you did want me to bitch about Heup then let's discuss penalties. That is an area I make no excuses. Ours are ridiculous.

Expectations for next year should be low. It's going to be a learning year for Nico and a lot of other players.

Our secondary gets tons of tackles because we always let the WR catch it in zone D then tackle them instead of preventing the catch in the first place.

The governing body is going to have to do something in the near future or college athletics is going to consume itself. Teams are reaching out to kids mid-season offering them this and that. Some kids have checked out way before end of season knowing they already have a deal in place.

I, for one, DO NOT like it done this way. I’m all in for NIL, but this is going to get crazier in the next few years if there isn’t limits etc.

NIL can stay untouched. It's these crazy transfer rules that need changed. Make them site one year, NO EXCEPTIONS.

The guys leaving are the ones who didn't hear what they wanted to hear in the exit interviews. Everybody wants something-- a promised position, a move up the depth chart, more NIL $$-- and not everybody's getting it. UT wants anyone not all-in to be out this week so they can start bowl practice with a clear focus.

I love it.

But it's funny many on here have been screaming to clean house in the secondary, especially as it relates to the upperclassmen. Now that it's happening, many of the same folks are complaining about it.

But when Acuna becomes a free agent in a few years, the going rate for him will be 850 million..

Let them eat., I would take every dime also and not a damn person would turn it down...

Mark my words Acuna’s numbers will fade this upcoming season compared to last season’s..he was juicing..you don’t put up those kinds of numbers after his injury…they doubled and he looked bigger.

He didn’t and it was two years after a torn acl. His numbers may fade but that’s just because they were historic and crazy to replicate.
