He should. Their schedule is a joke

Also tho, how’s he recruiting? Have they landed anyone noteworthy? Or just had visits?
They’re 7th in the country in portal rankings. That’s 3rd in the SEC.

South Carolina is 2nd in the country, 1st in the SEC. Kentucky is 4th, 2nd in the SEC.

The secondary will be fine and we'll most likely add some. O-line depth and TE are areas of need.
It’s been our worst unit for three years. It’s not fine and needs work.

O line is returning basically everyone and we will take another freshmen TE and portal TE soon.

Secondary is by far the biggest weakness and an area that needs addressing. I don’t know how anyone can say o line over secondary and be serious. Not trying to be mean or a smart a**, but that’s just reality of this team.

Are those programs perennial playoff contenders??? I don’t think “portal rankings” correlates to success on the field like recruiting rankings do.

Based on what we have been offering in the portal, we are totally going back to the offensive team as we saw with Hooker. Score 48 a game and keep them less.

Looks like we want:

1 G
1 TE (adding freshmen too)
1 WR
1 CB
1 S

It could work but it would be nice to not have teams throw for 300 yards a game on us.

At this point I'd say OL is still a concern, secondary we have the talent/players just don't have much experience.

Crawford, Dayne, Lampley, Lane are all gone

Cooper & Spraggins could return, but haven't announced

So you bring back Campbell, Mincey, and Karic who started some last year... the rest of the guys left are inexperienced and young

Lang - Freshman
Bussell - Freshman
Shamurad - Freshman
Grant - RS Freshman
Reddick - RS Freshman
Johnson III - Sophomore

I mean none of the above except Sham were high rated guys so how sure are we that they're ready to contribute next year?

This season will have no bearing on next year as we are turning over the entire secondary of the past three years. There is some talent in the underclassmen. Heck Boo may start at corner or safety next year.

I think you really got to hand it to Saban for what he has built for such a long period. People said he was done with advent of NIL and the surgence of Kirby. Here he is in the playoff again and seemingly retaining his best talent and stacking more with the best of them.
