Which mezcals have you tried? A good mezcal should be sweet, smooth, and the smoke end should be well balanced. I definitely get citrus notes with the good ones.

Not saying this is you, but I hear lots of people who have just tried Monte Alban, which tastes like cheap tequila that was finished in an ash tray.

I can’t remember them all but just a few:
Dos hombres
Un Momento (their one filtered with mangoes I can enjoy)
Banhez
Del Maguey
Hell I honestly can’t remember the others. I get the notes you mention but the smoke over powers my palette. For the same reasons I can’t drink scotch (even one’s finished in rum casks)

It's the earthy flavor I can't stand. The smoke is more like peat to my taste buds.

I like good bourbon and quality sipping tequilas. I mostly brew and drink my own beer though. IPA's and Browns.

Favorite bourbons - Woodford, Four Roses, Elijah Craig

Tequila - Whatever true Mexican Anejos are on sale that aren't from some celebrity.

Others are dismissing it like these aren't legit studs. I am not saying UGA won't be perfectly fine, but they are losing legit contributors and quality depth.

UGA might be loaded but you don’t lose this many high end players along with whatever they lose in the draft soon without it really hurting you.

I think if they have injuries this will show itself. I think they are retaining their top studs, but losing some of their strongest backups. One of their biggest content creators who is a really good film evaluator and talent evaluator is not dismissing the Dumas one at all. He seemed blind sided by it.


He is a good watch btw when looking at how he breaks down opponents. Cocky guy and cocky UGA Homer, but legit football mind.

Not sure even this level of portal defections.... assuming they all leave which I doubt happens...could hurt their depth. They've recruited at an elite level for so many years that it seems they're bulletproof.
