Malachi Nelson entering the portal and USC has no QB commit for this class. I’m hoping they throw all the money at Lagway. Want to see UF burn.
I agree with you, but I read somewhere that Kansas State's QB, Howard, is projected to go to USC.

It's smart of him though, if he can win 10 games at OM again, their schedule is soft. I think a big job comes calling. It wouldn't surprise me to see Kiffin jump to Gainsville after Napier is canned.

If they win 10+ next year, Kiffin is in a really good spot, no doubt about it.

About the other jobs -- I would be interested to see who comes calling.

Bud Elliott said that he reached out to Florida, Miami, Oregon, someone else too... and never got a call back. That was during the last carousel when all of those opened up.

Making the playoff and/or Atlanta might change that perspective.

I do think Deion will end up in the Big Ten or SEC because the eyeballs he attracts.

We have more money than UK, AU, and ARK. We have more potentially than Alabama, they have large national following. Not as much as Georgia. Collectives are only a part of NIL. Look at the wealth in each state.
Unfortunately, Nashville decided that the wealth should all go to the loser Titans / Oilers. If this state was all in for the Vols, they could have used a portion of those funds and brought in some real talent. Minus Memphis, I just feel our state is not large enough to fund multiple sport venues.

LIke Alabama, if everyone was pulling for the Vols, we could have one really good sports team in this state, instead of funds and fan loyalty being divided.

I honestly don't think tax dollars should be used to support our NIL. I do think that our fanbase could do a great job on their own, but haven't stepped up yet.

I do agree about Deion, some dumb school is going to want the media clout and is going to go get him.

Hey, I applaud them for taking their shot. They have a pretty manageable schedule, and making the first 12-team payoff would be something they could sell as a program going forward.

No pressure, Lane.
32 years in the SEC divisional era, and zero trips to Atlanta. Ole Miss in an exclusive club with Vandy and Kentucky. I guess they’re trying to turn over a new leaf in a new era of college football.

Deion will be smart enough to stay out of the SEC.

If you are disappointed were good.

So in other words 0% is spent on advertising outside of in person events. That pretty much explains the gap to me.
I have said it previously, but at last year's Mizzou game, Heupel was on video at halftime pitching Spyre. I can only go to one game per year, and I don't recall this year. But, information has been pitched in various forms to people. Can it be better? Probably so. But I can tell you that many of the people that I personally know as UT fans either know what NIL is or heard something about Spyre.

I would have no idea if it is true or not, but in my opinion, people who don't just have a bunch of discretionary income are looking to go to games and see the product as opposed to paying a collective.

As you can see, tax money was still wasted on a poorly ran and operated "professional" sports team. They could have used just 20% or less and helped brought in some recruiting talent this year for the Vols.

NFL is a different animal, they are not dependant on private donations. It is all about TV revenue, even more so than College football. A much greater percentage of NFL TV money goes to player salaries. They build facilities with tax payer donations,
I don't think the traditional donations to schools will change much. NIL money, some will come from collectives and the bulk will come from formally illicit funds becoming legitimate (small to mid size businesses and wealthy people who could give a rat's about the Engineering and Science library, think Luther in Miami).
