Yosemite and Glacier are my top two bucket list national parks to go to.

Cool thing is that I get to go to Portland, Maine for a work conference in June. Gonna take a few extra days and hit up Acadia and some other places near there, so I get to cross that NP off the list.
Been to Glacier, er Kalispell. Yosemite is bucket, as is Maine, and Alaska.

Obviously nothing will ever replace my time in Yellowstone. Blue collar NP. Love it. Lots of good, like minded people.

OSU was also nearly at full strength. Not on offense bc MHJ and QB situation, but the only other guys who missed the game were a couple defensive players who were injured.

Not sure how that narrative got spread that OSU was missing a lot of players.
Didn’t the announcers make it sound like poor pitiful OSU? I would have thought there was more than that.

I have wondered if a large enough school would ever partner with a smaller program to run their schemes and share resources. The smaller school benefits from having access to stuff they wouldn't normally and the larger school could be a feeder program. Guys that fit our system, but needed to grow etc. Maybe it does in the juco levels, but curious if it has been explored.

More likely to go the other way. Big program would be a feeder for lower program when their backups hit the portal

I thought Yellowstone was overrated. Smelly. Some great sites, but I expected more. I've never heard it described as blue collar, there were a million tourists all looking exactly identical to each other and doing stereotypical tourist things.

Grand Tetons on the other hand. I'll never forget that. I wish I could go back and spend fewer days in Yellowstone and more there.

I've heard Glacier puts both to shame.

Ok friendly debate. Having never seen Nico start rank him and these QB's first to last as your starter.

I was at the 2001 Cotton Bowl when Tennessee got destroyed by Kansas State. It was freezing cold. Casey Clausen looked like a Freshman for the first time all season. The cold definitely affected the young California gun slinger. It was a miserably cold day. The bleachers were frozen and so were the fans. I was so cold and disappointed that I held a grudge against that team all off season. I’m kinda embarrassed to admit that.

That is a fun story.

Before this current 3 game win streak Michigan's on, OSU beat their ass 15 out of 16 years, 17 out of 19...OSU is 17-6 against them this century. WTF is Portnoy blathering about, "use to mean something"? Yes, Michigan has won the last 3; but, before that, "The Game" was the very definition of 'irrelevant'.

Don't get me wrong, I hate both of them...they both suck donkey, imo; but, Michigan still has a ways to go, to be rid of the dog collar OSU has on them in the 21st Century.
And before that, UM fans were just as vocal about firing Harbaugh.

You can't say a team without their starting qb and a top 5 nfl draft pick is nearly at full strength. That's nuts. Those two being in the game would have changed everything.

Their defense played great. Their offense looked like they were missing their 2 best players.
As much talent as they have their backups should have easily handled Missouri.

I mean both ways though. Symbiotic.

Would be difficult to set up the other way tho. If someone at small school develops and wants to level up, some other school might be willing to offer them way more money than the one their small school is “affiliated” with.

I do think fans should recognize that we benefit if our conference whips that proverbial ass. I am not proposing anyone root for an arch rival, but us beating up rival conferences helps us in negotiations and recruitment. There is no debating that aspect, only your hatred for our rivals, which is more than fair.

I think the real question here is, how did you get up to Wednesday's posts so quickly?

Maybe, the idea here was having the inside track and having higher value because they already play our system. Hence I sign up to play like UT with the hope of leveling up. Maybe I even get a small NIL deal no other school was willing to give to help strengthen my relationship with larger school.

Bird and the Doc were my two favorites growing up. Love those guys.
I was a Sixers fan back then and despised the Celtics. Now I look back at the Bird, McHale, Parrish era and marvel at the superb basketball on display. Bird was a freaking assassin. No better smack talker and worse, he always backed it up.
