How does it make it easier or have any effect?

Anyone that thinks a team playing with half their players validated the committee’s decision has to have the I Q of a fly on crack!
Completely validates it. I thought FSU wasn’t good and Georgia was the best team in the country. That game certainly didn’t change my mind.

Agree. And the universities will forever be in power. For the history of college sports, the schools have been the sole power. They are singular units that make up...the ncaa...the conferences....the P5...all of it

Which is why players need more power.

Some hate the word, but all pros do it because otherwise they'd forever be screwed over - unionize.
Just go ahead and get sports out of universities. Make them professionals and be done with it. McGill is right…money ruins everything.

Lamar Jackson’s MVP hype is well deserved. Playing lights out. Man, that OL though. Miami is 2nd in the NFL in sacks this year and we can barely get into the backfield. Had one sack but it was a coverage sack. Lamar has all day to throw and our secondary can’t cover right now.

He admitted he only said one word to the ref ("report," I feel like 68 isn't very smart if he wasn't able to even form a complete sentence to communicate to the ref). I agree the ref screwed up, but it wasn't as cut and dry as video made it look. Remember 58 was standing next to the ref too, and he wasn't reporting himself as eligible, so acting like standing next to the ref is all the evidence you need isn't quite enough. The ref assumed both were reporting 70 as eligible (he pointed at him).

Huge screw up for sure by assuming instead of taking a second to clarify, but I wouldn't go so far as "should never ref again."
that is the problem with world today no accountability for the actions. Suspend or fine a game check etc. This ship needs to change ar all levels of athletics. You know it and i know it that for a lineman to talk to the head referee after a touchdown and going for 2. enough said about it

The ones playing had to love their “brothers” watching on the sideline as they got slaughtered!

That game was embarrassing for them and says a lot about the lack of leadership in their program. Whether they made a statement or not.
Too much Scottish blood running through my veins to just lay down my arms because a bigger power says I have to. Culloden for me.

58 talked to him too. So are you saying that must mean 58 reported as eligible too?

I was actually with family over Christmas in Miami, and they are FSU fans. They weren’t going and said they weren’t watching (don’t know that). I understood their frustration when favoritism is shown.

I really don’t think many cared a whole lot. You can say what you want, but it was a by-product of decisions being made.
May not have cared because they knew it would be a blood bath.

Liberty is not a power 5 school…. The facts are that FSU would have been in if the qb hadn’t gotten injured…. that’s nonsense, imo…. The games don’t matter… all that mattered is what someone sitting on their couch thought about who the best teams were.
Which will continue with 12 teams. Someone will get left out with the same record as someone else.

Was it lack of leadership that caused Hyatt to sit out last year?

3. EDGE Jordan Ross — Tennessee

No pass rusher showed more juice off the edge than Jordan Ross on Day 2 at Under Armour. Ross flashed excellent first step quickness throughout the day. The 6-foot-4.5, 220-pounder continued to look very loose in his movements. The speed and fluidity were on display in 1-on-1’s. While several of his peers opted to bull rush over and over, Ross showed the ability win with speed and moves. We saw the Birmingham (Ala.) Vestavia Hills product beat USC signee Makai Saina with a very nice up and under move. Ross’s twitchy athleticism and change of direction results in a dangerous presence off the edge. The future Volunteer ranks as the No. 38 overall prospect in the On300. – Charles Power

4. WR Mike Matthews — Tennessee

Mike Matthews was the top receiver for Team Fire after Cam Coleman. The 6-foot-0.5, 180 pounder showed outstanding ability to separate within his routes during the 1-on-1 period. Matthews was able to hit top speed very quickly and had the look of a dangerous deep threat. The ability to get vertical against the cornerbacks on hand was readily apparent. Matthews’ best play of the day came on a deep ball, as he got behind Auburn signee Jalyn Crawford and tracked the ball to come down with a diving grab in the back of the end zone. We also saw Matthews create some separation against Five-Star Plus+ corner Ellis Robinson IV. The lone blemish on the Tennessee signee’s day came when he was unable to come down with a few grabs at the catch point. Matthews will need to continue working on his concentration and it’s something he could improve with more reps at wide receiver, as he was a two-way athlete at the high school level. – Charles Power

You're missing the point. Bama doesn't get in over FSU even with their injured QB if there wasn't a consensus that the SEC is the most dominant conference. That perception put them over the edge.
I think if GA had beat AL then GA, FSU, MI and WA would have been in. Since they didn’t that opened the door for TX and AL. They won their conference championship. TX beat AL. AL beat GA. FSU lost the beauty contest.

Trying to talk sense into the anti NiL crowd is pointless.

Fine…. Take a stand and don’t contribute a paltry $25 a month.

Enjoy 8th best in the sec classes and complaining when we continue to finish 2nd for kids. 🙄
Are they the ones complaining the loudest?

Yup, and if we are still this injured I don’t have high hopes. Home field would have been nice but none of it matters if we can’t stay healthy. We haven’t been the most injured team in the league this year but the injuries we’ve had have been back breakers. Too many really important players missing games.

So, I know I’m a Cowboys fan, but I don’t think you can totally absolve the Lions for this. Skipper didn’t need to report but did. You usually only have one OL report, so the official immediately went to inform the Dallas defense. Therefore, he missed Decker trying to report. Bungled in a couple of ways. I’m still not sure about the formation either. St. Brown is close, but it appears there are 6 on the LOS.
Skipper says he didn't report
