Our offense didn't feel clunky at all today, like it has all year. Play calls seemed better, too, but it probably seemed that way because of good execution. Seeing Nico go through his progressions so smoothly and consistently get to the 3rd or 4th read really made a big difference for the offense. It just felt like a smoother performance. . . reminded me how the offense hummed with Hooker.

I also think having that type of performance takes a lot of pressure off defense and really stresses the others team's offense, defense, and gameplan. It's true, having a really good or great QB can hide a lot of deficiencies and really turn up the heat on the other team & coaches.

I think we can be as good as '22 by the 4th game next year, maybe sooner. If we can get it together that quick, we have a really good shot at the playoffs.
Look who started in our O-line. Thats what made what Nico and the RBs did even more impressive. Coop and an 80% Mincey to go with three whatevers.

Opening up multiple BILLIONS to share instead of the current millions. It’s understandable that they pine for the days that scholarships, free books and medical care were sold as sufficient. But the best programs always knew how to funnel money to the best players and did so with full autonomy from NCAA cronies. Pennies on the dollar red Dodge Chargers and no show jobs for Mama to million plus deals in plain sight. In retrospect, which is obviously seedy?
Don't believe for a second that the seedy stuff has stopped with NIL. It's simply icing on the cake now.

I am actually starting to believe they are going to win this game.
I hope Michigan wins. I want Bama to burn!

You're wrong. I'm sorry. But you're just wrong. Just because a system of profiting from unpaid workers may have existed for a long time doesn't mean that it's right or even legal. Ther's one not-exact example of this in US history.

NCAA football is in clear breach of Antitrust law. Period. That doesn't mean that a university HAS to pay athletes. It just means that it's illegal for NCAA univiersiTIES to conspire to wage-set the system. As SOON as that happens, it's a clear breach of federal antitrust law.

The recent Supreme Court opinion on NIL basically told the NCAA that, and warned them that if their business depends on unpaid athletes, they will rue the day the come back in front of them.
Those players are not employees any more than band members, cheerleaders, academic scholars, etc are. Scholarships are offered to potential students that excel in an area, whether it be the arts, the sciences, or athletics. Just because I pay to go watch a play at Clarence Brown Theatre doesn’t make those drama students employees of the university.
