After reading 26 pages of some of the of the hardest reading I've ever encountered on VN, I came to one conclusion. I feel sorry for InVOLuntary's significant other!

Can you imagine what she goes through trying to end an argument?

Some of the VN fam may remember me asking for prayers about a year ago for my grandson Wyatt that had a Ross Procedure done on his heart at Vandy. Fast forward a year and he is playing basketball (after playing t ball and soccer last year). God is good!

I'd go with Westmoreland instead of Burnett. Big Al, Raynoch, and EMo were a solid trio. They balanced each other out perfectly.

Seriously, after winning a bowl game 35-0 the main topic has been about the belief that the DC “will not” work out. If he doesn’t then the coach will get the best replacement he can. Should be easier with having more talent available and out of the NCAA mess to get someone to come. Then we can thank Banks for all the effort and hard work he put into making Tennessee better.

Now let’s talk about Pearce and West and Nico and plays! Just think of now compared to 3 years ago!

Well, I have not been enjoying the constant bickering about our defense and our DC. Now I'm just looking forward to spring football.

Pounds is at Ole Miss and was scheduled to come to UT today. He moved his visit back. Kiffin is trying to get him to spend the entire weekend at Ole Miss and is no doubt pressuring him to go ahead and publicly commit. UT always had a steep hill to climb on this one.

Still, Vols are likely to have two commits coming out of the weekend and will push hard for Heard.

I understand, appreciate, and support UT’s philosophy with regards to the Portal.

Not engaging in bidding wars with high priced transfers, and not giving out big deals to new guys that will upset the apple cart with the current guys.

With OT specifically - is this as much of an issue? Are we limited in any way in what we would feel comfortable offering the best transfer OT on the market?

He’s a VFL. Stuck around in the hard times and made some big plays along the way. Frustrating player at time as he had a tendency to make difficult catches look easy and easy catches look difficult. Still carved out a nice career here when it was all said and done.

Thanks for noticing! I've not gotten this far behind on VN in a long time.

I've been on "vacation" since about 2:00 last Friday and I've been a little tied up. I was sick the 1st 3 days, finally got better and replaced a water heater (in the old part of the house), built my wife a shelf for her crafting wood, made 4 trips to home depot, cleaned out the garage, made 3 trips to the dump, took down Christmas lights and decorations (exterior/interior), cleaned out around the landscaping, burnt our brush pile, and spent a whole day out with my woman for her birthday.

*I can't wait to go back to work so I can get some rest.
