I’m in those areas with my work all the time. That course was Orchard Hills. It was actually a 27 hole course, 18 of the holes was decently open but really high rough that made it hard to find your ball if way off line. I’ve played Oak Mountain once about 15 years ago.My folks live near Newnan in Whitesburg and I grew up in Carrollton. I think there's a couple other people on here that live in that area. I played at St. Andrews near Douglasville a lot and Oak Mountain in Carrollton but never any courses in the Newnan area. Always drove past one on the south side of Newnan not far off 85 when visiting family and wanted to play it...looked really nice (not many trees...lol).
We need to all get together and play when @peaygolf comes down this way.Nice. We’re in Smyrna. Not far from the Battery.
Nico is the next star in college football. We are very lucky to have him. We have a shot in any game we play because of his talent. Glad to have him as a VFL.I don’t know if anyone else noticed but after the Citrus Bowl game, Nico went to Davis, hugged him, and talked to him for a bit. That shows leadership, and to show that kind of maturity after his first start, as a freshman…well, that young man is special and I’m very glad he’s one of us!
Always down for a round. We need to all get together and play when @peaygolf comes down this way.
yep it’s rare you have a guy that can play Birth tackle! He's got three years and Campbell is done after this year. He's got a shot at playing birth tackle spots, and if good at both that probably increases his value more than pigeon holing himself at one spot.
I'm sure that's part of the conversation we're having...
Reynolds Plantation is a nice get away. If you get to NC, give Pinehurst 4 and 8 a go. I didn't do #2. Just didn't feel like paying through the nose to have my butt kicked. Tobacco Road is well worth the play, too. Just bring your A game off the tee. They built the thing on a sand quarry so you know what awaits. Ignore the practice green. On the course, they are not THAT sloped although a couple of approach shots will have you wondering who slept with the designers wife the day he laid those holes out.Not sure… I live in atlanta. Really anywhere in the US. But I prefer hot weather. Nothing better than a beer on a hot day on the course.
