I don't get that from this kid. He was a 5 star and they brought in even more guys. He had several years to play and has started. Mincey helped vacate a position for him. Upgrade imo.

1. Ole Piss running out of money and offer was light.
2. Tennessee beats it and then some to get heavy % towards them.
3. Okie oil money putting together a bag as we speak.
4. Will we match or better?

Yeah we definitely seem like a better spot then, come play a year at RT & LT is wide open the next year.

Also Campbell has played RT too, so I’m sure if Heard is a better LT that could be where he plays. Our staff isn’t gonna promise anything to anyone even returning guys. You have to keep your spot just as much as you have to earn it.

We pull Heard and I personally will be set this off season.

Not sure about that. Portal guys are signed and paid so they're expected to start. If we get this guy, I'll be shocked if he isn't he defacto LT come next season.

The reason they're donors is because they don't have the talent or acumen to be involved any other way. Would these donors let me give them some money and let me tell them how to run their business. It's called investing, you may get a vote but you can't run the company unless you own most of the stock. Most of the stock in football is with the player's skills and the coaches acumen. Try placing a mountain of cash on the field against Alabama. Bama would run circles (literally) around the cash. The football team runs the team not the investors.

You have zero clue what you are talking about. I am a business owner and I work with many successful people. If they give any amounts of money, especially large sums, the expect much in return. It’s how the world works in business.

Donors do have the acumen and intelligence to run an AD if they wanted. But why make a million dollars a year when you are making millions owning a business? And without their money and investments, UT wouldn’t be able to upgrade facilities, build major buildings, and afford other big projects so quickly. I can guarantee you DW and others check in regularly with large donors because they need their funds.

And a LG. And those are big picture concerns. But this past weekend, the selection set included a freshman we had no traction with who wants to play LT when we need a veteran RT, a guy who entered the portal in Kiffin's backpocket and a guy who wants to play close to home for family reasons and chose a home state school. So we had a drive-by, a no-show and a regretful pass. One weekend where nothing was in our favor isn't the issue.

Because he wanted to play LT and Kelly put him at RT. Heard thought he could move back to LT but LSU had a more experienced guy in front of him and either Heard couldn't beat him out or didn't want to stick around and try. There was no guarantee he could lock down the starting RT job, either, so he decided to lock down a spot elsewhere and make bank in the process.
