We think our o-line troubles are bad...Oklahoma has lost all the highlighted players off their depth chart to nfl or transfer portal, including the entire starting line. The did bring in 3 3star transfers that haven't really played a lot at their old schools

The good news is we are well versed in wringing hands over oline play. No one get ideas comparing Dooley to Heupel please or the Sullins twins to to any current players.

Ok I've had enough. Guys this is absolutely pathetic. If you really think this is cdd fault then idk what to tell you. It is clear to look at this this team and see that 99% of them are causing no trouble. You can see that he has brought in high character guys that LOVE Tennessee football. It's also very clear that he has upgraded the talent tremendously. Would you rather have the sullins twins over stone and Fulton at guard and center? Of be startin 4 freshman on the line against sec seniors and juniors?? I know I'm going on a rant but come on guys. It's obvious we are in a MUCH better place than we we're when he got here. He still has to prove it on the field but thus is the first year he has had the talent to actually compete for 4 qrts with the big dogs. Let's stop talking about the negative and start getting pumped for Tennessee football season. It's one week away! Let's talk about our run game or our up and coming sophomore linebackers or our hard hittin safeties or out freakish wide receivers that stay out of trouble. Let's talk about the guys that do their job and not the guys that cause trouble. Let's talk about beating nc states a$$!!!! GO VOLS!!!

Edit: Sorry for the typos. Autocorrect sucks.

I think people are trying to make it one thing when it's a bunch of different things. There were a few pivots this past weekend, but thinking UT was going to go 3-3 on OL was a setup for disappointment.

Great points as always and appreciate the insights. With that said, 0-3 doesn’t feel good.

Any updates on Spraggins? Weird that we haven’t seen anything official yet

So people want him fired for things that haven’t happened yet on the field? Bc so far the product on the field has been pretty dang effective.
Dang these people piss me off. MEDDLING is what caused this program to crawl through Sh@t for a couple of decades. Ellarbee is a good coach, however you spell his name. People need to shut up and leave the staff alone and let them work, or go back to the Butch Jones days. What a bunch of idiots.

When you cut ten, fifty million dollar checks. You deserve more than just being informed and a phone call every now and again. He does have a building, but when you give the millions that he has, you get some input. That’s just how the world works. I do agree it doesn’t help overall to the program but those type of donors should get preferential treatment when they are funding much of the upgrades and filing the budget.
The reason they're donors is because they don't have the talent or acumen to be involved any other way. Would these donors let me give them some money and let me tell them how to run their business. It's called investing, you may get a vote but you can't run the company unless you own most of the stock. Most of the stock in football is with the player's skills and the coaches acumen. Try placing a mountain of cash on the field against Alabama. Bama would run circles (literally) around the cash. The football team runs the team not the investors.

If I was going to go all in on a guy this would be it. Takes Mincey's snaps.

LSU Offensive Tackle Lance Heard Named to Freshman All-SEC Team
Heard handled business in Year 1 for the Tigers, prepared to take next step.

LSU offensive tackle Lance Heard has been named to the Freshman All-SEC Team, the league office announced on Thursday.
.

Heard, a true freshman from Monroe, La., appeared in all 12 games the Tigers, starting at right tackle in LSU’s win over Army.

Heard played a career-high 59 snaps against Auburn, helping the Tiger offense to 568 total yards, including 238 on the ground, in the 48-18 victory.

In the win over Army, Heard saw action on 58 snaps as the Tigers rolled up 570 yards of offense, 202 on the ground, in the 62-0 victory.

I wouldn't doubt it though. We've heard of frustration from spyre. Swain is saying, right now, that it's not the NIL at all. He mentioned guys who can close but don't want to and guys that can't close being the same thing. Read that how you want but it appears everyone is doing their job in helping improve this roster but OL is not getting it done on a certain end. When that is the weak link, of course thats where the pressure will be focused on.

Do I want Elarbee fired? Of course not. But he needs to turn this around or his job will be significantly harder and so will heupels.

My question is how much are other coaches in on closing? Is Elarbee turning off that many guys and why? Is the OC an issue too? Idk. But everyone thinks the OL roster needs, not wants but needs, immediate help.
Show me a coach who's hired his buddies and survived to tell the tale? Seriously. Has it happened?

If we landed Heard I would relax and see what happens next. For 2024 we are in better spot than most which is why guys aren't jumping to be here and we aren't overpaying either. Necessity is the mother of invention and we haven't yet reached necessity..

So reading the tea leaves RE Heard:
1. Ole Piss running out of money and offer was light.
2. Tennessee beats it and then some to get heavy % towards them.
3. Okie oil money putting together a bag as we speak.
4. Will we match or better?
