Another reason to think PFF is garbage……TJ Watt beats or ties Myles Garrett in every single statistical category… He had 5 more sacks than Myles and they still have Myles Garrett rated over him and not an All-Pro in their system. TJ is the first player to win the sack title three times and the 2nd player to have 19 sacks twice in a career.

PFF watches every play. Good and bad.

Sacks are certainly positive plays. But current/popular statistics do not track negative plays for most positions. They only track specifics.

Think of an OT that whiffs on 10 run blocks in a game. But that isn't recorded anywhere against him. Is that a good game? Or a QB that throws it into the hands of a defender 5 times, but the defenders dropped every ball and the QB recorded 0 INTs. Is that good?

Modern statistics have so many holes. That's why folks and college and pro orgs have poured into PFF. Staff members also try to get jobs there. One specifically from Miami used to hound them...he never heard back

I know HCA is huge, but surely the #5 teams is 2+ points better than an unranked opppnent, even on the road.

Hard to imagine we aren't. I'll take the Vols.

Do we think TN basketball will hold up on the road? I can't imagine an Ole Miss performance, but not sure they have the issues they have with other road games.

Southern also beat UNLV. A team losing a game like that doesn't mean ish in college basketball.

Northwestern beat Purdue sooooo....

Most likely. They've played a tougher schedule than Ole Miss, so I don't think they'll be overwhelmed by us and they're at home.

They are bubble team good, so it has the potential to get dicey. So long as we don't go ice cold for too long we should hold on and win.

I agree..but he needs to get to the right team with the right situation...he has talent and a ton of heart, and those attributes are hard to find.

It blows my mind how people do not take "situation" into account.

The coaches poll should be done away with. Most of the time, it's the secretary that does the voting and if teams are not on a coach's schedule, they don't have time to watch any plays from all games to make a decent determination and as in this case, there's the butthurt factor.
