I love how bama fans have already convinced themselves that Deboer will have almost no drop-off and that he was the best candidate and their 1st choice for the job, . Cant wait til they get throttled 3-5 times.

I read one comment that is excusing the transfers, saying "Deboer is undefeated over Lanning & Sark and he did it with a lot less talent". . . so it's ok Bama is hemorrhaging talent in the portal, Deboer will win them all anyway. He may have a decent couple seasons, but 4+ losses a year are right around the corner for them. They're now on Clemson time.

I think he's a good coach, except for the no head turn. Its one of the dumbest principles some coaches have adopted.

I wonder what the stats show about which technique is better…. He teaches to turn around if even…..rake down the arms if trailing….. Banks is a DB coach so I am sure he could change it if he didn’t agree with it.

Georgia side broke the news that he's in the portal so that tells you everything that you need to know.

Even still, I'd rather have 1 powerhouse in the conference (UGA), and it just so happens to be the one that we don't play every year anymore.

Soo... @Weezer...are you still freaking out about the OL? Last 5* OT Elarbee got his hands on went #10 in the draft after having one of the most dominant Tennessee OLman season performances I have ever witnessed.

"Freaking out" is a loaded term. Everyone should hope for better OL play to protect Nico. Heard is a great pick up, especially necessitated by the loss of Mincey. I think this staff still would like a LG if they could find one. It's why they pursued Farmer early in the portal process. And we'll still be light on depth based on the development of second year players. If that's "freaking out", then I guess I'm still doing it.

I agree with him, for first year. Bama has lost the equivalent of one calendar year of talent. Who will they replace with?

SEC is a qb league. They're set for 1 year. He will recruit well. But, as we all said when he took this job. Well dont cut it when you're up against Saban expectations. Kirby is the only one who can and has recruited that well. Saban had the most ridiculous signing class last year, ever?
