I have good feelings about this team and the tournament, but even if Barnes becomes our Mark Richt, I will always love the man for what he did to put us into the national conversation. I will never debate his tourney record. Not worth the oxygen, because there is enough evidence to support whatever stance you choose.

It is a balanced offense/defense. Gaurd Play. Clutch shooting. Barnes's style has naturally been imbalanced by nature.

You’re kind of both right. There are ways to coach and construct your roster to reduce the variance of a single elimination tournament, but the variance is still relatively high among postseason playoff formats.

Interesting convo. Who are the teams that make deep runs consistently? Be curious to look at their successes / stats. And also what is considered consistently?

Sure there is some variance every year, I'm not arguing that, but even in the mid Majors that create upset they usually follow the same formula.
Balance on O/D. Efficient on O.... A go to scorer that they trust to give the ball to late.
