This is why don’t watch pros. Grew up in the 90s and it’s pretty evident how much the sport has gone downwardDude...I was watching basketball way before you were a dirty thought in your daddy's head...it's NOT good basketball.
Whatever the f'n reasons, it f'n sucks donky ass...I'm sorry you have never seen real basketball.
Because every fanbase will have goobers like that… same thing with Bama fans calling Heupel offense gimmick and ignoring their own basketball style is basically the same thing with Nate Oats…So...
Modern offensive minded Basketball = bad / old school, defensive minded Basketball = good
- but -
Modern offensive minded Football = good / old school, defensive minded Football = also good
Why the difference?
That will probably be this year’s “cheetah” package. West can be this year’s Baron.Hear me out:
We move West to DT, and Josephs/Ross can move to SDE, that way we can have the trip of Pearce/West/Josephs or Ross on the field at the same time
Rules and how they are blatantly ignored or applied depending on the game in both sports is a turn off. If it becomes entertainment more than sport, I’ll bounce.So...

Could look at reducing rim size to make it a tighter fit for the balls to go through…Another problem with modern basketball is also a strength of the modern player. Deep shots.
You have players shooting feet outside the three point line. Sometimes so deep no one is even guarding them. It is a testament to their skill as a shooter, but it is not often engaging to watch. Not like a guy cutting through the lane to dunk on someone. Statistically it makes total sense, but it is often less entertaining.
This is not my stance, but I think the rub with modern basketball is the disregard for stats knowing shots might have been largely uncontested. Or the ability to get cheap baskets with ticky tack fouls.
With football there has been a softening of the rules in favor of offense, but defense is still integral. This year in college they were letting defenses drape on recievers. Made for engaging receptions.
Just one current example is how James Harden had built a career around bs fouls
a ref calling every touch a foul. Then. It calling things like this walks. Does not mean offense is better
This is terrible offense imo. If they called walks and didn’t call every touch it would fix a lot. We need to stop short of laimbeer. But lebron acting assaulted on every touch is ridiculous
And nothing in this clip resembles good offense.

I am coming up on 26 years and plan to retire in about 18 months. The NG has helped me earn two degrees and provided much for my family over that time. It has also been a huge sacrifice but I would not trade my time in service for anything. It has been a blessing. Good luck to your son and I pray that his service is as much a blessing to him as mine has been to me.My boy signed with the Army National Gaurd this week. He'll graduate in May. MOS 15T. Plan is to have it pay for college and provide a retirement.
