Alright, this weeks upsets thus far:
#10 Memphis lost at Tulane
#6 Kentucky lost at South Carolina
#11 Oklahoma lost at HOME to Texas
#8 Auburn lost at Bama
#10 Illinois lost at Northwestern

Home court advantage matters...

#9 Arizona plays at Oregon State tonight.

Saturday:
#7 Kansas plays at #23 Iowa State
#3 UNC plays at FSU
#8 Auburn at Miss State
#9 Arizona at Oregon
#6 Kentucky at Arkansas
*** #5 Vols at Vandy ***
Btw, Arizona ended up losing to Oregon State

Another problem with modern basketball is also a strength of the modern player. Deep shots.

You have players shooting feet outside the three point line. Sometimes so deep no one is even guarding them. It is a testament to their skill as a shooter, but it is not often engaging to watch. Not like a guy cutting through the lane to dunk on someone. Statistically it makes total sense, but it is often less entertaining.

Would think Kaepernick’s biggest backer signs him as a backup at least. 😏

Yea this was discussed on Undisputed a couple of days ago.

Keyshawn Johnson said don't be surprised if Harbaugh brought CK in the mix ..

I figured it would be backup QB as well. OC is kinda of a stretch don't you think.

It would be awesome to see MSU give Auburn another loss. If they weren't smarting over the bama game, that would be my upset special. That would make my weekend tho. I can kinda, maybe, in a dream kind of way see Oregon getting Arizona but can't fathom UK losing to Arky. Those people would tar and feather Cal if that happens. Would be so much fun to see.

As for our game, I know Vandy scared bama earlier this year, but if we let a loss happen today, it would be an incredibly bad loss and bitter pill to swallow. Talk about a image crushing loss for Barnes. I'm not sure he wouldn't lose a noticable portion of our fan base for good if that Vandy squad gets the win against this UT team this year.

Netflix paid him millions to depict the NFL as a plantation. Guess he’s ready to help run one.

Point is that it isn't like he's whiffed on every play or hasn't gotten better. People get things in their heads because of a couple of high visibility mistakes that often do not actually reflect reality. Some people are just too ready to run with any negative narrative about particular players or coaches (not you as far as I know).

Sampson just isn't a guy who needs fans to paint him with this stigma.
It’s all relative…if he played more, there’d be more examples of him missing blocks. LSU was lack of knowledge. Iowa was lack of effort. That’s entirely on him.

There's also a certain degree of physicality/toughness involved. Not sure Sampson has a lot of that in him. He's more of a jitterbug/scatback type.
He doesn’t have to block like Walter Peyton or even Jalen Hurd. But he does need to meet the defender head on and deliver some type of blow. Otherwise, the D will know he’s a safety valve only.

Good news is the league has no reason to help Vandy at all. They have no outside chance of making the postseason, so it benefits the league more to keep Tennessee rolling to a 1 seed.

So...

Modern offensive minded Basketball = bad / old school, defensive minded Basketball = good

- but -

Modern offensive minded Football = good / old school, defensive minded Football = also good

Why the difference?
a ref calling every touch a foul. Then. It calling things like this walks. Does not mean offense is better

This is terrible offense imo. If they called walks and didn’t call every touch it would fix a lot. We need to stop short of laimbeer. But lebron acting assaulted on every touch is ridiculous

And nothing in this clip resembles good offense.

Any fan loss would be addition by subtraction. Dedicated detractors are what they are.
