Seems the NCAA changed the definition of booster to encompass collectives, and now is trying to retroactively enforce it on UT.

I think he is signalling that he'll testify that NIL is both rampant, and a major factor in college football life now. For the NCAA to try to destroy programs over it is ridiculous and reckless.

It sure seems like the TN AG and the University of Tennessee had all of this planned and were just waiting on the NCAA to make a move.......someone there leaked it to Forde and then...............BOOOOOOMMMMM!

I would think that the speed and depth of the response had to surprise them.

Forgetting the myriad of other issues, why are we having to do these expensive showdowns based on a fantasy that there are only a select few rogue programs that are working with NIL collectives in recruiting?

Yes claiming Spyre as a “booster” is a clear violation of antitrust laws. You can’t claim a private business as a booster just because the ncaa updated a regulation to define them as such …it just won’t fly in court lol
