Well the last few games we haven’t been. That stat should be up in the box every week. Consistency is the key there, at times we have shot them very well. At times we have shot poorly there. We have capable free throw shooters, we have to work on being consistent there. Especially as we enter the heart stretch of the season. Against South Carolina we missed enough free throws and layups to win easily. I am just mentioning things we have to clean up to make a final 4 run. And I believe we are capable but we are going to have to play consistent. We have to make the easy plays. GBO

I agree, but every team will have some poor games at the line. It’s just the nature of playing 40 games. Pretty sure I looked at Barnes’ teams at UT, and his teams general shoot well from the FT line. There was a dip a year or two.

Fans need to direct all that energy toward the Vol Club. That will make more of a statement toward the NCAA. Not to be political but it's similar to Trumps poll numbers. Every time the democrats indict him, his poll numbers go up. We need to do the same with the Vol Club.

People watched football in the 70s...80s...90s...

As long as everything is transparent to the athletes, that's their choice and risk to take. Better than how the NFL did football players for decades actively covering up CTE.

There is a chance we get Shows, although I will give him credit in the UGA game. He apparently saved Barnes from a technical after seeing two bad calls by his colleagues.

Terry Oglesby is catching up with this group. We also haven’t seen Joe Lindsey much this year. I’m going to say we will get 1 or 2 of Shows, Oglesby, Lindsey, Owen Shortt, or Lee Cassell.

I get we're offensive minded, but I hope we put some of these super athletes in the secondary. That is where the real PLUS value lies these days - in stopping modern offenses. You can't just outscheme on defense - you need the raw talent. It's why Bill C. actually adds 4% to defensive player ratings and decreases offensive players by 4%. That is the value gap. Defense HAS to have the talent. Offense is more flexible, given the scheming opps.

Think our offense will be just fine with a stud QB and good, non-5*, WRs.
