Hey. I just heard through the grapevine that Saban is causing problems with coaches at Bama. TIFWIW

I would not be surprised. Having him still hang around the program will always cause friction with the staff. If it doesnt, then that staff isnt worth a **** in the first place.

I think if they lose 3 or 4 games next year then their NIL is going to really suffer and Saban will be crying every week on tv about how its ruining the sport. They'll give their meth money to Saban but not to Deboer if he isn't winning........and the meltdown will be amazing.

Saban said he felt "anxious" about the success of the program. Now that is going to cause Bama fans to worry.

When asked about the job DeBoer had done in his early tenure, Saban wanted to be clear he wasn’t planning on hovering over the program he led for 17 years. “I really haven’t been around,” said Saban. “I really try to stay arm’s length."

Then his wife interrupted and said they needed to leave.

Maybe all these rumors about Saban undermining the new staff are true. Miss Terry steps in, calls time for retired husband’s interview

Again, the only reason he doesn't have a 5* on his recruiting resume is that Louisville made a coaching change. Owens even said he was waiting to see if Sims would be retained by Brohm. When he wasn't, Owens flipped to TAMU. He had the #2 ranked 5* RB committed to Louisville. I think that's a good sign of what he's capable of.

Good catch. Seems like a really solid hire.

RBs are gonna want to play in this offense with Nico, Merk, MacIntyre, Heupel, regardless of the position coach. If he can be a good coach, he probably doesn't need to be an above average recruiter to get elite talent here. An avg recruiter at Cincinnati may look like an elite recruiter under these circumstances here.

Naw man he clearly sucks because he’s never landed multiple 5*s at Louisville and Cincy.

Looking at these graphs, it's easy to see why there's a push to govern football under an entirely different set of rules than everyone else.

I also think it paints a little bit of a different picture than this idea that all this money is just going to college administrations that have some Scrooge McDuck room full of money somewhere. All that football money goes a long way in subsidizing other things that people care about.
