Recruiting Football Talk VII

Wow, Saban spoke at an event tonight, and it looks like he was really rubbing in the sarcasm. “I know you guys don’t miss me,” Saban said while shaking hands and readying for his first media appearance with local reporters.

Saban said he felt "anxious" about the success of the program. Now that is going to cause Bama fans to worry.

AL.com said it was previously confirmed that Saban will have an office in Bryant-Denny Stadium and Saban reiterated that "any UA coach has an open invitation to ask for his help." Doesn't sound like he has much confidence in DeBoer.

When asked about the job DeBoer had done in his early tenure, Saban wanted to be clear he wasn’t planning on hovering over the program he led for 17 years. “I really haven’t been around,” said Saban. “I really try to stay arm’s length."

Then his wife interrupted and said they needed to leave.

Maybe all these rumors about Saban undermining the new staff are true. Miss Terry steps in, calls time for retired husband’s interview
^^^^ This is FF thread worthy material.

Title: "Is Saban unintentionally causing issues in Tuscaloosa?"

Or

"Is Saban the reason assistant coaches are leaving Alabama?"

Or

"Will Alabama survive with Saban hanging around?"

Or

"How many losses will DeBoer have, before Saban steps in?"

It seems like the FACT that this guy gets that kind of production from less than stellar recruits is going WAY over people's heads..🤷‍♂️
This. Not saying recruiting isn’t crucial, but I would much rather have a coach who can develop 3 and 4 stars into studs than a guy who can recruit 5 stars but we see minimal development on the field.

Just now, during the ISU/Houston game.... ESPN broadcaster "Kelvin Sampson is furious with the no call".

46-41 Houston

*How does Pat Adams keep getting assigned to high level college basketball games? Everyone sees what he's doing.
49-44 Houston

9 minutes to go

Houston 8 fouls
Iowa State 2 fouls
