So...that is their endgame...they hope Congress will intervene and allow them to continue to squash individuals rights.

It is insane how they can stand there and claim with a straight face to be about helping "Student athletes" avoid exploitation...they are truly evil.
Placing their hopes on Congress isn’t necessarily a bad move. Congress loves to squash individual rights.

Top story on ESPN Headlines.

First thing I saw. Idk how notifications work, but this isn't UT specific either. It's 2 states v NCAA, so I wouldn't expect it similar to score updates.

No longer sub The Athletic. Long form apparently means a lot of reading 😅
Quit destroying our ties righteous indignation, please. TIA

I think they're doing it on purpose. It's hard to be so wrong when you have an entire office full of "professionals" and lawyers. Them being this wrong on this scale makes no sense it all.
I think they know their position wasn't winnable and they want congressional oversight so they can determine where they may make a play to be relevant in the future if college football. They pushed the issue because it had stalled.

What a bunch of crybabies. They went from saying about the Vols... “They’re dead in the water.” to this whiny ****.

This is brain-dead on about a hundred levels.

Of course Tennessee fans are cheering it. The NCAA is actively attempting to destroy our football program over nonsense rules that every school in America is breaking and that are ILLEGAL. Were we just supposed to fall on our sword?

What a buffoon.

yikes….

Yikes is right.

If Eli Gold begins to make frequent pro-Vols comments during his Kat broadcasts, I will give him a second look. And why shouldn't he?

But otherwise I'm not a fan of any Bama bruh anywhere in Tennessee. Or bailing Bama out by removing a Bama fan favorite complaining about his treatment.

These idiots do not understand the simple truth...the Supreme Court ruling basically means that NCAA rules are against the law. At some point all of this was going to happen...probably when some players filed a class action...the NCAA just made sure it happened now by picking on the wrong school.
