There it is.I rarely watch him, but it has been very interesting watching Pawl .... continued to rail for rhe past couple of weeks about Saban needing to step in and become some kind of grand poobah of CFB to save it. Then today happened.
He then kept saying the NCAA will obviously appeal. Guest after guest today kept telling him there was no reason to appeal unless they deliberately want to sqander more $ or just be obtuse. Three different people told him the only thing the NCAA has left is to plead Congress to ignore Gaza, ignore Ukraine, ignore the border, ignore the 24 election and come put the NCAA at the head of the line and save them (which they invoked in their response).
One guy even told Pawl that him and his generation need to grasp that things have changed today and it is never going back. You could see Pawl's face kind of go more pale than usual. It has been highly entertaining and not having to listen to Jim, Iman, or Legend calling in has been an added bonus!
Yeah I’m very interested to hear what he has to say.Where is @LA Vol - time for a victory lap!
Yeah @Glitch been posting on the baseball forum the last 5-6 years and it’s good people. Some of the best in-game threads you will find. Don’t knock it til you try it. TWSSThe baseball forum is actually quite nice.
Eh...I think they have shrugged off a good ol boys agenda and leveled the playing field on the sport I love. Bye bye Bama.College sports as we have known them my entire life are officially finished
Mandel: Party’s over, NCAA. Recruiting pay-for-play is here, and it was inevitable
A federal judge granted another blow to the NCAA by, at least temporarily, prohibiting rules against NIL pay-for-play in recruiting.theathletic.com
It seems as if they’re too busy giving to academics… all we hear about is other schools like St John’s, Miami, Texas, Auburn etc loading up. You’ve gotta wonder where UT’s guys are at. Too busy owning the Predators and Browns? Perhaps. They’re worth over 15 billion combined after the sale of Pilot… they aren’t the only rich ones obviously but they come to mind first due to pops being a player way back in the day most likely to donate to athletics. They probably still are but hopefully they donate to the NIL space heavily. Why can't we have a billionaire booster?
