It says that knoxville averages 127 days of rainfall per year. . . that seems a little more than I expected. 1/3 of the year is rainy. An average of a little under 2.5 days a week. Hmm. . .

I was amazed when I flew into Seattle the first time and they said that Nashville actually gets more rain per year than Seattle. I’ve spent a lot of time there and it was beautiful more days than not.

Yep. And if they don't then I'm sure plenty of Bruce Pearl love letters are already waiting in the queue...... 🤦‍♂️
Going to go ahead and post….

Pearl is a Tiger not a Vol because of his stupidity that hurt our university. He’s the same as Kiffin. Doesn’t matter what they do. They are the enemy.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with criticism, whenever warranted. Yes, we ALL would like to make a Final Four...I especially would like to make one FOR Rick Barnes, as he is as deserving as ANYONE who has ever coached college basketball.

And, speaking of March...
The NCAA Tournament started in 1939...85 years ago. In those 85 years, Tennessee has been to NINE Sweet Sixteen's. That's it...nine. You can count them on two hands, and have a middle finger left over to shoot a bird at a Barnes hater. Also, to add to that...since the tourney expanded to 64 in 1985, that number drops to SEVEN Sweet Sixteen's...and, Rick Barnes has led TWO of those. Seven, in 40 years...again, two of them with Barnes. Hell, we've only made it out of the first round 18 times in our entire history, and four of those is Rick Barnes. Hell!!!, again!!!, we've only made the tourney 25 times (about to be 26) in 85 years...and, Rick Barnes has led six of those in his 8 seasons (not counting covid year).

Also, the SEC Tournament started in 1933, and has been played for 64 years...Tennessee has won it 5 times...in 64 years; it was not played between 1953 and 1978...since resuming, UT has won it twice, once in 1979, and in 2022, under Barnes.

While yes, again...we ALL would love a Final Four; and, while it's fair to say that Barnes has been snakebitten in March...however, what he's done at UT, as it pertains to March, is actually unprecedented. Since 1908, the first year UT started playing basketball (116 years ago)...besides only a handful of seasons here and there since, Tennessee has either sucked, or been mediocre at best; and, historically, Rick Barnes has taken us places we have not seen.

So, the people extremely critical of his March's, since he's been in Knoxvill...I believe they, too, belong in the "not trusting or listening to their mindset" category. Just my opinion.

There I go again, acting like a tiger. For those that want to retort...of course the grass is green, and I know this, no need to waste anymore of my time.
Bravo!!! 👏

So, I worked from home Friday because contractors were going to be doing some demo in one of my employer's bathrooms and it was going to be loud. Real, real, loud. Welp, those dudes did not make it on Friday and they are there today, jackhammering away. FML. And, they will also be here tomorrow. And, can confirm that it is loud. Real loud. Real, real LOUD.

True but in 85 years…. DW is probably the first AD to give a d&mn about Men’s basketball…. I realize that he didn’t hire Barnes…. Even a blind squirrel can find a nut every once in awhile.

The chance of an historic upset is incredibly low in the NBA as the parity amongst teams is much more even.
Fun fact: Wake Forest was a -2.5 point favorite against Duke.

When it was happening once every blue moon I think it was possible to ignore it. The way it is now, they will have to put a stop to it. You simply can't have this keep happening routinely. Security should be a baseline expectation for any team showing up to play an away game.

Fahr Barnes!!

Blake Snell perfect example of thinking he is worth more than he really is.

Scott Boras is his agent I believe, should tell you all you need to know.
Cody Bellinger was a domino. Snell’s next because Boras won’t even discuss Jordan Montgomery until his bigger priority sets the price point.

I have owned several big breeds of dogs including: A German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Doberman, and a mixed bred dog( one of the types that can supposedly fight Bears) I use to believe that it was how you raised them until i started seeing too much evidence to the contrary. Pits contribute over 60% of all fatalities and over 60% from all injuries that have to be treated at the hospital… They also are responsible for 48% of all unprovoked attacks… My Pit was a big baby as well…. Never had any issue at all.
If you want to know why pits are responsible for so many attacks, my dog's story will explain. My son rescued him as pup. He was working at a jobsite (in Alabama of course) and across the street there were all these pits in the yard. The owners were obviously fighting them and they were using this dog (my dog) as bait.
When my son noticed no one was around he hopped the fence and took the pup. He was skittish and scared as hell at first ( and relatively small) but now at 3 years old and 120 pounds he is the goofiest beast still scared of his own shadow (seriously he farts, alot, and he'll scare himself and run away). He is excellently trained in fact he does his business when a where I tell him, I detest poo in the yard. Besides one of his would probably flip my mower. The only harm he does is with his tail (which is about testicle height) which is like a baseball bat swung by Aaron Judge.
I'll guarantee you that the ten or so dogs left in that yard have been or will be responsible for some of that 60%. If dogs are trained to attack they attack. My dog has been "attacked" by smaller dogs roaming the neighborhood and when he starts to respond I call him off and he sits there will I run(kick) the little pissant away. Culture and discipline make the difference and it is lacking in more than dogs these days.
