I do love the doggie days on VN. Here's my old beagle, fat-fat. She wondered up to the farm while my FIL was building his house and my wife and I had to keep her. She was skin and bones and as you can see has had no problem putting on weight. She was a great companion for my bluetick before we had to put her down. I have to say though, she is dumb as rock but the most lovable dog.
I had a dachshund/beagle mix that was dumb as a brick too. Would eat anything she could get a hold of and would bolt for the hills if she saw so much as a door open a sliver. Lost track of the "sleepovers" she had with complete strangers she had. They always talked about how wonderful she was but I always made sure we took her home just to spite her sorry little butt.

I had a beagle for 13 years. Not the smartest breed and very stubborn. But man they are so lovable and a good family companion.

You hit the nail on the head. Fat-Fat is always thinking with her stomach too. I had beagles when I was kid too, they are a very good dog for a family. Just like you said, so lovable and very loyal too.

Edit-i don't think I could use "too"any more in that post than I did. what a moran.

I have owned several big breeds of dogs including: A German Shepherd, Pit Bull, Doberman, and a mixed bred dog( one of the types that can supposedly fight Bears) I use to believe that it was how you raised them until i started seeing too much evidence to the contrary. Pits contribute over 60% of all fatalities and over 60% from all injuries that have to be treated at the hospital… They also are responsible for 48% of all unprovoked attacks… My Pit was a big baby as well…. Never had any issue at all.

These stats are such BS. The only reason these stats are this lopsided is because they identify 5 or breeds as Pitts. Of they don't know or aren't sure it's a pitt. I adopted a dog they said was a pitt mix. Nope, it was lab & boxer mix.

I definitely didn’t make the same mistake twice…I got a Great Dane after that..I looked into Great Pyrenees and met up with a breeder to see how they were and they were the sweetest dogs the only reason why I went with a Great Dane was because of how bad Great Pyrenees shed….this is dodger my Great Dane (the one who looks like he read the whole drivers education book)😂😂😂

Love Great Danes. Dream dog.

Because we appear to be posting pics of ours, here’s my Tennessee Jed.

I work for the Post Office, I've been dog bit several times over 20 plus years. Somehow I've avoided pit bulls and Rottweilers, but beagles have got me 5 or 6 times 😆.

They are fast 😆

I think I'm picking up on a theme here with the beagles.......

Curious why?

It's the truth. Doesn't mean it isn't idiotic, as you say, but there is a good reason pro sports fans leave in handcuffs if they go where they aren't allowed. And it seems effective...
It's the former. They're much less enthusiastic.

And that policy is more about streakers during the game, not court storming after a huge upset victory. A single person running on the court/field during a college game will also leave in handcuffs.

Yes, Charlie is quite wealthy.
But I’ve read in several places that while he’s a fairly big giver to the academic side, that he doesn’t give much to the athletic side. That could be wrong. Just what I’ve heard.
He's actually known to be very frugal. Said to still stick to a company policy of sharing hotel rooms while on business trips...still flies coach...still packs a brown-bag lunch each day (a sandwich and a Gatorade).

Also, not sure he's even a billionaire anymore. Lost over $20 billion not that long ago...Dish and EchoStar cratered (he lost over $700 million in one day, if I'm not mistaken). I believe he merged both of them, so I'm sure that gained a bit of his fortune back. Regardless, the guy still has more money than some small countries; but, I'm not sure he gives much of anything to UT. While he may donate in privacy (if he does, a tip of the cap to him, much respect), I've never seen or read anything about him donating anything.
