He was the slightly marble-mouthed former player/technical expert/truth-teller in the Bill Anderson mold. My favorite Fuad-ism was that as a quarterback, you have to be careful throwing to the tight end because they have "manos de piedra" or hands of stone. They worked well together and seemed to have fun. I listened to the Spanish radio broadcast of the 2nd quarter on my drive home from work and you could tell that Carlos has very intentionally adopted some of John Ward's phrasing, and is working to try to "paint a picture" like Ward did. I turned down the sound on the TV broadcast and listened to them in the 2nd half. Great job overall. They need a little more immediate help with spotting for player identification, but Carlos came back quickly and clarified any issues. I hope that they continue with the simulcast. It was the most fun listen I've had since 1998.
It sounded like a blast. I wish I spoke Spanish but I learned novice Japanese to understand Yakuza games without waiting years for a localization instead.

Also just now realizing what a waste of time that was lol

Early line on FanDuel is UT -10.

I feel like taking SC and the points would be the obvious choice

I’m not sure. This game could totally go either way and I’m not going to foam and moan on here if Tennessee loses, but my hunch right now is Tennessee comes out with their hair on fire and wins comfortably.

I recall the last two years the offense took a few games to really get clicking. I’m holding out hope that moving the ball reasonably well in the second half v. Florida plus much of yesterday is evidence the offense might be hitting its stride. And while I get Rattler gets ~350 yards and a few TDs, I’m not sure that will be enough for them.

Time will tell!

Lol that’s an ignorant statement. We executed the same way last week against a team with a slight pulse and we got steam rolled. This week was no different just an out classed opponent. I’m glad we won, but it’s ok to say it was less than impressive lol.

Most certainly did not execute the same vs FL and UTSA.

Vs FL the OL couldn’t get push to the run the ball. 100 yards rushing and 3.3 ypc. OL alone had 7 penalties. 5 procedural and 2 holds. Night game in a hostile environment didn’t help.

Against UTSA 303 yards rushing and 9.2 ypc. Entire team committed 5 penalties, not sure how many came from OL. Pass pro still leaves a lot to be desired tho.

Defensively we had 11 missed tackles vs FL. I believe we had 3 (could be wrong here if anyone knows the exact number) vs UTSA.

Obviously different levels of talent from the competition, but to say we executed the same in both games is wrong.

Don't understand it but I understand it exceeds Kesling

I feel awkward even asking, and I get him doing it in spanish sounds way better and it's great to reach the hispanophone community...

But could he take over for Bob and do it in English? And maybe he could promote someone to do his spanish channel. But he's built this, so I hope he does it however he sees fit. He would just make an awesome replacement.

And as much as I love his calls, listening the whole game made me realize UT spanish classes failed me in conversational listening🤣

It is not Joe Milton that they do not trust. How is that a still a narrative? Since arriving at UT, he has 20 passing TDs and 1 INT & Heup consistently says that Joe is looking in the right places and making good decisions with the ball, and y’all *still* think he doesn’t trust Milton. I don’t get it.

It is the OL blocking long enough for deeper routes to develop that they do not trust.
First off…. don’t listen to anything he says in public….. He will never say anything negative about a player or give any real insight to his program… I wasn’t talking about deep throws…. Joe is at his best when he can throw deep…. The throws that have disappeared for the most part(still attempt some but not many) is the shorter intermediate throws…. The chain moving type throws when you need a first down… He struggles making those type of throws.

Lay years Alabama game for example…. 3 of our first four passes on the highlights was a 10 yd in cut….. tightend slant…. wr slant…

They're going to be tested for sure. Oregon, at USC, Utah, at Oregon State, Washington State. The last four consecutively in November.
Of course the PAC would be exciting this and last year.

Still hate the pillagers that ruined cfb. Sankey at the head. Tx/Ou move pushed all this into hyperdrive. And all because he had Napoleon syndrome not making as much as other commishes 😒😫💩

Definitely not the same execution… but I thought our oline was not that good vs a lesser opponent. We had 30 carry’s for 140 yards outside of 3 long runs. Really gotta improve the pass pro and getting a push in the run game. No reason our RB’s should get hit 1 yard past the los and fight for every yard against UTSA

Lol the rushing yards came against defenders on the ground and missing tackles. 3 plays made up the majority of those rushing yards.
