I didn’t catch the first UFL game today. Realized it too late. Did Javonta Payton have any receptions in that game for the Renegades?

Paxton Brooks and Alex Ellis play for the DC Defenders tomorrow and Bryce Thompson plays for the Brahmas

Didn't realize it started today either. Looks like Payton had 1 catch for 16 yards.

Reminds me of Bilas leaning hard into that as part of his commentary leading up to the Florida Atlantic game because he got up in his feelings about us roasting Duke. Clear attempt to work the officials. At least Painter is a coach and not a commentator, I suppose.

They always say "IT STOPS THE CLOCK" yeah no shiz...and if the shot goes in they still have 2 points and the clock is the same as if the guy was fouled and made 2 FTs. Especially if the defender isn't in foul trouble and it was a wide open shot...at least you force them to try and make 2 FTs. It's not like you sprinted towards the defender and just whacked the guy dribbling, which is much different.

It just seems like a silly point to make about "stopping the clock" as if that matters vs a made FG.

Yeah it really affects the inbounding (if they make the 2nd) more than anything else. It’s a lot easier to inbound off of a made basket(most of the time) than off a FT/dead ball situation

I'd be kind of embarrassed of my coach if I was a perdewy player... he's essentially saying his team isn't tough enough/ wimps to handle us or play physical basketball... he's already rolled over and whining, setting things up. Show me where we got away with ANYTHING last night that wasn't called?
Ironic in the fact that his #1 player gets away with assaulting players left and right the entire game without so much as a foul called...

Would be kind of funny if Rick got it out there quoted on X as saying "man, I told our players to not so much as touch or breath on Edey or we'll be in foul trouble all night, apparently for someone his size, he cannot take physical contact".........

I think it would be great too if when Edey fouls us hard tomorrow and they don't call it, CRB jumps up and go crazy, getting a tech... that would throw everyone off and fire our team up, maybe enough to dig a little deeper and get it done! And before anyone says anything, I mean in the second half--- everyone knows at this point in the season Rick is not "coaching" during the game, his assistants are and so it's not like there'd be a drop in communication/coaching, but it would light a fire under the team! Hell, Vescovi was running the clip board at the end of the gump game...
