More than anything, I want to see us get off the field on 3rd downs this week. It's comical how bad we have been. 3rd and long seems to be automatic for our opponents this year and its incredibly frustrating.

You forgot to mention that you also want offense to convert on 3rd down as well. We're ranked around #80 in 3rd down and #114 (almost dead last) on 4th down on offense. We're ranked #47th on 3rd down d, so yes, that's gotta get better......on both sides

I noticed when Wright was tackled hard one time and took a couple extra seconds to get up, none of the OL came to help him up. Also, noticed they were there helping Sampson up. Made me think they thought Sampson should be playing more or starting. I hope we don’t have chemistry problems. That destroys a locker room.
You’re told not to help someone up if they are injured. Wright definitely sustained a concussion.

But somehow we won 11 games. Get your eyes checked dude......what you SEE is called "person bias". It causes you to see things that aren't actually reality.

I think he is referencing the SC game last year. Where banks was pretty much quoted as saying “yea we didn’t make adjustments, just expected everyone to step up and play better.”

Our DBs seem to do better when they play man and press the WRs at the line. The zone we play just seems to have too many gaping holes for WRs to sit in and wait for the ball.
Yeah our DBs are awful at Zone especially the safeties. They are almost never in position to make an actual play on the ball.

Our passing defense is ranked 36th in the country and only giving up an average of 190 yds per game so far with only giving up 4 passing tds. Far from bad so far.

We’ve played some awful teams though and we don’t pass the eye test. Guys aren’t turning around to track the ball. Rattler will pick us apart if we don’t sack him constantly.

I only took SC +11.5, assuming money would come in for SC this week. I have no intentions to let my bet ride, unless the line stays the same. FWIW, I think the Vols win this one.

Defense:
Gotta be able to bother Rattler.
Stay with your guy in coverage.
MAKE THE FIRST TACKLE.

Offense:
Clean game avoid penalties, especially presnap.
Have to run the damn ball.
Help Joe out, make the tough catches & run the right routes.
Play calling, have to mix it up. Hurry up or not don’t run the same plays back to back.

You have a lot more confidence in your GM and nfl GMs in general to identify great QBs than I do. Give me an elite OL with a decent QB any day over a generational QB on a bad team.

The team around the QB matters more than the QB.

Nick Foles is probably the last time that formula lead to a SB win. Pretty rare, if the end goal is to win it all, history has shown a great QB is the most valuable asset to accomplish it.

Even more so the Chiefs.... Patrick carries that team, the rest are just spare parts they can afford with his contract.
And their best o lineman is still on a rookie contract.

Pretty sure Thuney is considered their best OL. But Trey prob the best in a couple more years. Definitely most upside.

If the Niners do it this season, that line of thinking will credit them building the team THEN finding their QB. Without acknowledging that it was built around Garrapallo and was not WINNING after his injury and consistency issues arose. If Purdy is THAT GUY, he allows them to improve the team in piecemeal moves AS they win.

Joe, Big O, Elijah Herring, DSamp, and Kaleb Webb after Saturday's game, in case anyone missed it.

Asked how he felt when he was told his run tied for the longest touchdown run by a Vols QB in history, Joe smiles and says: "I just found out [when you asked that]. 😂
