Nick Foles is probably the last time that formula lead to a SB win. Pretty rare, if the end goal is to win it all, history has shown a great QB is the most valuable asset to accomplish it.
History has shown any QB gets chewed up and spit out with a bad OL. Mahomes looked downright garbage in the super bowl when a few of their starting OL were injured.

I think I’m pretty up to date on this thread, so apologies if this has already been covered-
Any injury updates after this past weekend’s game?
Milton knee?
What happened to Jaylen Wright?
Anyone else?
Any chance we see Elijah Simmons or Cooper Mays back against South Cackalacky?

But it was a quick fix AFTER being exposed in the SUPER BOWL. Couple draft picks in the same draft class and two FA signings. And that would be AFTER they already had their quarterback. You think they make that Super Bowl with an elite OL and a scrub QB?

Greatest quote from Tony Romo" Jerry asked me what I needed, I said build me an OL to protect me"...

Joe is alright, but seems they are going to do all tests etc to verify no damage.

Jaylen appeared to have gotten bell rung, unless he fails some concussion protocol stuff should be fine.

Don’t know about anyone else, Keyton was probably the other one that appeared significant but not seen an update.

Cooper has the most potential to return this week. Simmons I think A&M is earliest we see him.

No, a scrub QB cannot win a SB. You don't have to go to the absolute extreme though. A good qb (Wilson, Flacco, Foles, Dilfer, Manning in Denver wasn't elite anymore) behind a great OL and defense can be successful. Look at San Fran. You think Purdy is really that elite? Or is the team around him making him look really good?

There's a reason Brady took a lot less than max money in New England. He knew he couldn't be the GOAT without money to pay for OL.

The only game they haven’t allowed 3+ sacks is against Furman. They have the worst rushing offense in the SEC, Their defense is the worst in the SEC, at least Florida has a pretty solid defense. Yes their QB and WR’s are better… however Rattler has to run for his life all game every game and juice wells is gonna be out. They struggled vs MSU at home at night.

If banks is terrible then it’ll be close. If banks calls a good game it won’t even be a 1 score game
They struggled on DEFENSE at home...in case you haven't noticed our offense is 1 dimensional and not great against the one ok defense we have played at that 1 dimension.

IF we win, it will be because Milton played the game of his life and our crowd, and of they score a couple easy ones early...the crowd won't matter a lick..

We never stopped Rattler just year...what makes you think we can hold him to 40 points below what they scored last year?

Shifting the goal post a bit, other than Dilfer every one of the mentioned QBs were great at the time their teams won rings. Peyton’s single greatest season happened while in Denver as well.

I don’t think anyone is saying an elite QB is all you need, but the NFL is full of the best of the best. The single biggest separation though happens at QB, mostly because it’s the only position where you’re the guy exclusively series to series. OL, RB, WR, & TE all work rotations and get plays off.

More than anything, I want to see us get off the field on 3rd downs this week. It's comical how bad we have been. 3rd and long seems to be automatic for our opponents this year and its incredibly frustrating.
I think this is important on both sides of the ball.

On defense, we have to stop them on 3rd down.

On offense, please convert 3rd downs and keep the flow of the offense moving.

We kill so much momentum when the offense isn't working and it put's us in terrible spots.

And conversely, we can’t buy a big 3rd down conversion.
