Not to mention the left elbowNot sure why everyone is saying this was a weak call. Refs got it right. The girl was setting a continual moving screen for longer than the one she got called for, but that was 100% the right call. I wish we could have had a ref willing to call this in our game.
In all honesty if the refs called the game right basketball games would take 3 hoursNot sure why everyone is saying this was a weak call. Refs got it right. The call was right, but with 3 seconds left, the debate should shift more to “do you make that call at that point in the game with everything on the line?” Personally, I’m a no. Unless it’s an absolute fragrant foul, let the players decide the outcome, not the ref.Not sure why everyone is saying this was a weak call. Refs got it right. Counterargument: Don't commit that foul at that point of the game with everything on the line. The call was right, but with 3 seconds left, the debate should shift more to “do you make that call at that point in the game with everything on the line?” Personally, I’m a no. I'm with you but what if girl gets her shot off because she was knocked way off by the illegal screen? Kind of cuts both ways. The call was right, but with 3 seconds left, the debate should shift more to “do you make that call at that point in the game with everything on the line?” Personally, I’m a no. By swallowing the whistle with a blatant penalty in front of you, a defensive player isn't being allowed to do their job. THAT demands a whistle. Away from the ball or incidental I see your reasoning...this wasn't the case. This all dates back for me to the Syracuse game during the NC season. We're down to a fourth down for the game and Tee Martin's pass falls incomplete. His intended receiver got basically MUGGED and all the talking heads uttered the tiresome refrain "You don't make that call at that point of the game!' Why? Never made sense to me.The call was right, but with 3 seconds left, the debate should shift more to “do you make that call at that point in the game with everything on the line?” Personally, I’m a no. I totally understand both sides of the argument. I’m just a believer in letting players when the game, especially in a situation like this.I'm with you but what if girl gets her shot off because she was knocked way off by the illegal screen? Kind of cuts both ways.
If there was a hold on a hail mary that kept us from affecting qb we'd definitely complain.
Same here. My first thoughts were, "Wow, how can we get those officials for our games?"Not sure why everyone is saying this was a weak call. Refs got it right.
