I mean I don't think anyone is expecting immediate major success in Year 1. With the portal and recruiting these days, flipping a roster can come quick. Coach should be fine Y2 and on.

Think next year just make the tournament and the streak alive. Build culture and recruiting ties.

I don't disagree but I think an excellent Xs and Os coach can mitigate a less than steller roster. Coach Barnes and Coach Huep come to mind.

VolFuture is a real hoot

The best thing would be to hire the best person and if that drives the malcontents from the program then so be it. If the coach wins they will come back and not the end of the world if they do not. People in Tennessee will come out and watch and support a good product. The LV's can have success again and will be fine without the idiots who only care to hire from Pat's tree. Win and fans come but lose then have what you have now. Regardless, money is not made by this team and never will even if winning. Danny wants all programs to be successful regardless of the profit margin and he is not going to let these idiots deter him from the path he deems appropriate to accomplish said task.
