Officials would be in favor of UConn if anyone. That repeat storyline is too juicy.

Also, how was Alabama Pat officiating their final four game?! That's insane to me that they let someone officiate their home state games this late in the tournament.

I'll be pulling for UConn, who I don't really like, because I hate Purdue. Wonder if the refs will actually call fouls on Edey given it's the title game? Probably not. But UConn probably still has a good shot of winning. So glad to see Bama lose. Such a lucky damn draw to get this far.

I get why we slipped out of the 1 seed talk but I believe we were the 5th best team and we should have been in UNC's bracket.

I've been thinking about that.

Leading up to Selection Sunday it was between the West or being the 2 seed in the South with Houston. There was a week or 2 of debates on which would be better.

Then suddenly we got paired with Purdue in the Midwest, without much time for anyone to really think about it. Houston and Arizona never really scared me. UNC would've been a close game. Not a good matchup but a winnable one.

I think we could have given UCONN a game if ZZ and Aidoo played to their average on offense and if somebody else also could pitch in 10-12 points to Knecht...but they are a truly great and awesomely balanced team that plays elite basketball on both ends of the court.

Beating them was probably not going to happen...but I would have loved to see them get the chance to try.

But they were screwed out of it by garbage biased refs and fatigue.

I don't think the chance is zero. I don't think it's high either and I'm not predicting them to win.

Just saying, if Purdue wins by 15 or more that makes the Vols look even better. Not that it matters.

The only teams that bother UConn are long and athletic. Why I thought Houston had a shot against them.

Edey will finally meet his match with similar height. And 1 through 4 UConn can dominate 18 feet and in and press 3 pt shooters with their own length. They'll be too much across the board.

Adams officiated our game against bama (in Tuscaloosa) and we won. However, we were 1-4 the past 2 seasons when he officiated our games and 3 of them were at home.


*I'd rather see him on the road than at TBA. He loves being the villian and if the crowd really gets on him, he gets vindictive.

Not many but the ones I have they were not playing top teams. They are good but they can be beat

They are a great...a truly great basketball team...they may not win this Dance because crazy things happen in the finals of the Dance sometimes, but they are a f'n steamroller...a top 10 offensive AND defensive team.

Our greatest flaw and the biggest reason we were not truly great this year was our offense being ranked down in the 20s or 30s.(iirc)

The other main flaw was our tendency to get mauled by physical big men because Aidoo just ain't strong and gritty enough to matchup at all.

Depends if UConn's big can get into him.

For instance Burns didn't get to him today. Edey played a very clean game.

If the big guy can frustrate him early, yeah you could get him into foul trouble. Would have to invest quite a bit to give it a try though. Jmo but UConn is good enough to not have to try such a style. Just play your regular, optimal offense and you'll squelch them.
