Nobody?

Lemme try harder. How about two free tickets in the Lower West Club?
Psh. I'll wait and see before I spend my hard earned time on this experiment. Heupel has never even coached in the SEC before this job!

Can he even recruit? This is big boy football and Dime Club Danny went and hired a nobody when we could have kept Pruitt and kept making bowl games in December! 😒

He’s tall…enough said.

Idc for Arizona or any of their players.. but We're playing tonight if he was our C this yr.. Hell we're playing tonight if we had Uros still 🤷‍♂️ he wouldn't have got manhandled... Prob would have fouled out but Edey would have felt every one of them lol

The one and done thing was not a purely UK thing. That was a Calipari thing and it started his last few years at Memphis.

At Memphis he had 3 one and done players in 8 seasons. Would have had a 4th but that player went pro instead of going to college for a year in 2003. However, 2 of those one and done players came in the last 3 years he was at Memphis. The year that Calipari left for UK, he had 1 one and done player committed, another who has said since that he was going to play for him at Memphis, and another who’s final choice was between UK (with Cal) and Memphis (without Cal). Calipari started recruiting him at Memphis and Paster kept recruiting him when Calipari left. They all followed him to UK in the end. So if he stayed at Memphis he would have had at least 2, but most likely 3, signed for 2009, and 5 or 6 one and done players total in 4 years at Memphis.

The one and done blueprint was created in Memphis, it just had the longest utilization and obviously exploded to bigger heights at UK. UMass was all obviously before his one and done strategy though.

3 in 8 years is less than Barnes has had in the same time frame here.

Cal was recruiting the same way at Memphis. It was just a tougher pull. That 2009 class at UK with Wall, Cousins, etc. were all committed to Memphis before Cal left.
Agreed but his recruiting at Kentucky was better than it was at Memphis (for obvious reasons). Although he brought a few 5 stars during his time at Memphis, he was loading up on them heavily once he got to Kentucky. The 5 stars he got at Memphis were mostly in his last couple years there. He was loading up on more 5 stars after he got to Kentucky.

Someone on X (CTESPN BAMA) with good stats saying Brawny to the gumps in the portal if he doesn't go the NBA route... no way I believe this...

Yeah the fact that she took over Marshall and immediately set the single season wins record (by 2 games too), and their highest seed in school history, most points per game in a single season ever in school history at 85.3 (which is nearly 10 more than the previous mark) and she's the only HC in Marshall history to win a regular season title and conference tournament title, and she did it in the same year.

I feel like in Women's basketball you still need to be a great coach if you are and you win then you'll land the talent. Dawn Staley at South Carolina has proven that.
And you won't find an easier place to get talent than here.

Winning is imminent. Kinda like as soon as we got Heupel we became a competent program overnight.

The second part of my post was the main point. He had his first team with multiple one and dones set up for 2009 and that was supposed to be at Memphis. Then UK came calling. Those two things just happened to coincide.

You claim you’re a fan of all of our sports and our university as a whole but I simply don’t believe that.

You recently claimed White hired Vitello. He didn’t.

You claimed the middle finger nothing burger was committed by Blake Burke. It wasn’t. (It was Jordan Beck)

If you’re so passionate about baseball and its image, you’d likely know those things. But it seems to me you only follow the Lady Vols. That’s fine, but you’re lacking a lot of perspective it seems. That or you’re just envious of the big 3 mens sports, specifically the recent success Baseball has brought that has overshadowed the Lady Vols.

The truth is, White screwing up a Women’s basketball hire won’t cost him his job. The good news is, baseball won’t cost him his job either. Only football, and maybe men’s basketball could do that.

a second truth is that the women’s program has been left to flounder in mediocrity for almost 15 years. Young girls probably have no clue Tennessee was once the premier power in the sport. The young football players sure didn’t and don’t.

This job isn’t nearly as appealing to coaches as you wish it was for that reason. This is a rebuilding project in which almost nothing will ever be good enough because of Pats shadow. It’s an impossible proposition.

It mirrors the football delusions of the past 15 years almost precisely except you seem to think the women’s basketball program is even close to as important as football. It isn’t.

Hating this coach or the AD or the baseball team won’t change any of that. We got who we got and it’s no one’s fault but the boosters who’ve demanded legacy hires and meddled since Pat retired. It’ll take a long long time to get back to what she built, and another her is never walking through that door.

Was it Lucy?

Yea, she’s unhinged….
The above quote was my response to her lunacy since you decide to name her, which I chose not to 😬
