Agreed but his recruiting at Kentucky was better than it was at Memphis (for obvious reasons). Although he brought a few 5 stars during his time at Memphis, he was loading up on them heavily once he got to Kentucky. The 5 stars he got at Memphis were mostly in his last couple years there. He was loading up on more 5 stars after he got to Kentucky.

Think the rule change that created one and done was 2005 so that makes sense. Wasn’t as easy to stack top recruits because they went pro. I vaguely remember Cal losing a few highly rated recruits to the NBA prior to that. Amare Stoudemire and Kendrick Perkins come to mind.

As McGill (I think it was him) put it yesterday or a couple days ago —

This is the best fanbase AND the worst fanbase.

For whatever reason, Aidoo attracts attention from the mouth breather portion of the fanbase. And for whatever other reason, Awaka is universally loved.

May not mean much to you and me. But young’ns live on the socials.

at this level that happens at every school or professional team their is. You’ll never escape it. Yankees fans would call Aaron judge a bum if he started slumping. Just how it is.

Maybe he can transfer to Oregon and sing kumbaya with Bo Nix because the southerners are just too darn passionate.

That’s not what moves the needle. He was an essentially an enforcer. Aidoo and Awaka are not.

No doubt, he made the right move in sport number 1 Football. All sports are pretty much competitive on the national level with only women’s basketball struggling to get there. White is here to stay if he missed on next lady Vols coach. But he didn’t miss and win the lady Vols start winning that crowd will go into hiding!
