Had surgery, should be back for games but uncertain exactly when he will be able to practice again, depends on recovery. Definitely out for spring and very likely summer.
Peyton Lewis will be back for summer conditioning.
Send Cam our best @Plove23 he will come back even stronger!
A huge reason we lost to Purdue was because they out rebounded us by 21(!!!) total rebounds.. not because we lack an enforcer. A man who averaged less than 4 boards a game as a senior is gonna be a difference maker against the 2x NPOY?? Who is far more skilled than Uros? NahThat’s not what moves the needle. He was an essentially an enforcer. Aidoo and Awaka are not.
I love Uros’ heart and effort but he would have been absolutely bullied by Edey. Not one person has really stopped him (and officials). This is just another case of revisionary history. If you don't think he would have made Edey work a lil harder & made somewhat of an impact against him & the bigger bigs that aidoo struggled with then that's your problem lol I never said he would of been all sec or avg double figures.. but he was 7-7'1 & pretty stout. He would have helped. Facts are facts
Enforcers effect doesn’t show up on stat sheets. Hockey didn’t invent them simply because they liked violence. They’re effective in disrupting players. It would’ve helped immensely.A huge reason we lost to Purdue was because they out rebounded us by 21(!!!) total rebounds.. not because we lack an enforcer. why not? They've been in the system for over a year, been developed by Barnes and staff, know our culture, and have been playing behind upperclassman... now would be their chance to step up...Wouldn’t be good even if they had stayed.
I don’t think it should impact his decision like I said, but I don’t understand it either. My one criticism of him is that he doesn’t play well against physical big men. But that doesn’t warrant all he’s gotten from some fans.I don’t get it. You’d think he’s exactly the type of guy that everyone could get behind and love. Has worked his tail off to improve and has done exactly that every year on campus.
Aidoo isn't the physical center some thinks he should be. He has always been a finesse player that is intimidated by physical players. I'm just saying what I see, seems to be a real good guy and team player. CRB loves him but Jonas is what he is, soft hands and soft touch near the basket but not a rim protector.I don’t get it.
