I think Max Johnson is a better passer and will put up some numbers.

He's also a far worse runner and our DL will him eat him up more often.

I’m always optimistic, but don’t lose my sh!t when a loss occurs (not saying you do).

I prefer to view Tennessee sports with as much optimism as I can.

All the real life crap is fraught with realism, pessimism and worry. I use Tennessee sports as my escape. Probably why I have many on my ignore list, not because of their “realism “ , but because they can’t wait to dump negative thoughts regardless of the situation. Don’t have time for that crap.

We talked about that yesterday. I think Joe's knee is on account of DSamp (I do love the guy) missing a pass pro assignment. Saw him whiff on another, too, for a sack. I haven't rewatched the whole game with pass pro in mind. He really must buckle the F down on blocking. It's of great consequence (#15,329).

I don't know Sampson's assignment, obviously. But I've seen the defensive tackle go through the guard like a turnstile a few times and I've never seen anyone blame the running back for it. I have a feeling if it was that simple, Aaron Donald wouldn't have won all those DPOY awards.

I maintain that Sampson's pass protection "problems" are entirely based on one play that happened over a year ago.

I have pretty much always admitted when I've been wrong. If you were not referencing me, then sorry, but it sure as heck sounded like things you have said to me before.

Prescience doesn't have a dang thing to do with it...the potential issues due to injuries to this team were obvious.

I wish that Coop and Pili had never gotten hurt and none of that foreboding had come true.

Doc, off topic...

Pretty pissed @ my wife's ortho guy.

A couple of months ago, my wife hurt her knee in a fall. Went to an ortho specialist who just said, "Just do some physical therapy. It'll heal itself."

Didn't do any MRI, nothing.

So, a couple of months of intense pain, swelling, and limping... He finally sent her for a MRI. Turns out she's had a torn meniscus, and all the swelling/fluid has created a huge cyst.

Surgery finally scheduled.

Like I said...I wasn't doing the "I told you so" thing...I haven't done that even though several folks have said that I was right in the last few weeks...I was responding to what I thought was a personal shot from Butchna...he says he wasn't talking about me and I believe him.

I got drug pretty good pre-season for saying OL and a few other spots were potentially huge issues that could cause us to struggle mightily, and despite that I never came in here jumping up and down crowing about being right....I wish I wasn't.

Once again...in that one post I was responding to what I thought was a shot at me.

I wish the photon pumpers were always right...I am a pessimist and I hate being right.

That sucks. I know all the doctors in my group are frustrated with the insurance companies requiring “conservative treatment for at least 6 weeks “ before they will approve an MRI.
Some diagnoses require 3 months. It’s ridiculous how the insurance companies are able to mandate whatever they want. The government no longer holds them accountable at all. Delays frequently cause more damage making successful repairs difficult and less likely.

I’m always very transparent with what I recommend, versus what the patient’s insurance mandates. Frequently, the patient is able to change the insurance plan quicker than I can. It’s awful.

Not saying that your wife’s doc delayed care due to this. That story doesn’t sound like a caring physician at all. That sucks too.

I hope that your wife does well with the surgery.

If it's the play we discussed Karic whiffed; no one doubts that. DSamp was in pass pro. He never looked to his left (Joe's blind side). He saw we had blocks on the right and released as a safety valve receiver. No way he was not to clean up whatever got through a blitz or a whiff on either side. I am a huge DSamp fan since before he got to campus. I'm just saying. Anyway Heup knows and can fix it. It was very consequential (#15,329). I bet you wouldn't be so flippant if Nico were lost like that. (I predict they will come at DS with a delayed blitz hoping that he will do the same thing. I predict DS doesn't fall for that **** again.)
